What real benefits do air cleaners provide?

Currently, you can find a lot of information about air cleaners from a large variety of sources.  Like all things in life, some of it is true and some of it is completely wrong!  If you look at the facts, air cleaners do seem to provide some real benefits to people both physically and mentally.

First of all, air cleaners come in all shapes and sizes.  Generally, air purifiers use one or several different technologies to clean the air inside homes, offices, and schools.  These technologies include electrostatic precipitation, HEPA filters, ionizers, and/or ultraviolet light.

Studies have shown that an effective air cleaner can rid the air of dust, pet dander, bacteria, and a host of other pollutants and contaminants.

That sounds great, but what are the benefits of clean air?  For starters, air cleaners can have a significant impact in effecting the following changes:

  • Better sleep

  • Improved alertness

  • Reduction in allergies

  • Better digestion

  • Improved immune system

  • More energy

  • Easier breathing

  • Less irritable skin

Of course, not everyone experiences all of the benefits listed above.  But, most people would agree that if air cleaners can bring about just one of the above effects, they are well worth the money!

In addition to the physical benefits of air cleaners, many people tend to get a psychological boost from knowing that the air they breathe is cleaner.  It's hard to describe, but breathing fresh, crisp air brings on a sense of well-being.

So, now you have an idea of some of the benefits of air cleaners that have been studied and reported over the years.  Hopefully, a good air cleaner will have the same effect on you and your family.
