Product Description

Mario's wicked nemesis just doesn't know when to give up, as evidenced by this fourth chapter in the ongoing WARIO LAND saga. This time around, Wario finds himself in trouble when his greed lands him in the middle of a cursed pyramid. In search of gold and jewels, Wario entered the structure without paying heed to repeated warnings of the pyramid's curse, and now he'll be lucky to escape with his life. Make your way through 20 massive levels as the wicked Wario, collecting as many valuables as you can. You can use your findings to purchase bonus items at the end of each stage, using the acquisitions to further your progress in the game. There are plenty of punches, jumps, kicks, and tricks to master throughout the action, and there are even a handful of mini-games to keep you amused when you're not adventuring. Lots of bad guys and boss characters will try to make your escape more difficult, and there are plenty of unique challenges to stretch your reflexes and imagination.

Warioland 4 stars Wario, the same money-mad rascal seen in many other classic handheld games. This time he's heard tales of a golden pyramid--which is enough to send the big blowhard scurrying off to the nearest jungle. He finds the place, but before he can collect his treasure he'll have to undergo a brain- and body-bending series of challenges. Four guardians stand jealously over the four sections of the pyramid. Wario will either have to defeat each guardian or activate a switch and escape before time runs out. No longer invincible, Wario will have to replenish his health meter by gathering pieces of heart. While exploring the pyramid, Wario gets flat and heavy, and undergoes other transformations. Minigames provide more diversions on the way to the final showdown with the pyramid boss.

Features:
  • Classic characters
  • 20 levels
  • plenty of puzzles
  • cool graphics
  • single-player action

  • The best side-scroller I've yet to see
This game was definetly worth to wait! This a fairly challanging game with some amazing graphics. It starts out with Wario going to a secret pyramid to get some more gold. After the short movie you get into an enterance passage which gives you an introduction to the game. This passage has only one level but it gives you a taste for whats instore. Once you beat the boss on the Entrance passage you unlock four more passages. Each one with 4 levels and on challanging bose. After you beat the 4 boses you get to the final passage, The Golden passage. The levels get very tense once you set the timer off that makes you go back to the starting vortex before time runs out. After the time runs out you will start losing your coins(which is visually impressive). Th sound tracks are pretty good with about 5 different songs. This a great game for anyone who likes adventure games or just likes greedy old Wario....more info
  • Overview of Warioland 4
This game, being the fourth installment in the wonderful Warioland series, is a must have for this holiday season. This game takes advantage of the Gameboy Advance' 32-bit graphics processors. The Graphics are smooth and the characters move around so much more natrually than in the previous games. The sound is also quite good, with added speech from Wario, and some typical Wario music (Although it is better because of the GBA's capabilities). There is also 2 difficulty modes for beginners or ol' Wario veterans. This game has virtually endless replay value, with a myriad of secret areas and treasures to find. This is an excellent game. Therefore, I dub it the best platform game in existence (besides Super Metroid for SNES)....more info

  • Great game - great replay value, just too easy
I loved Wario Land for Game Boy, so this was the first game I went out and bought when I got the GBA. I must say I was impressed with the graphics, they were clear and detailed. Wario can be fat, puff up like a balloon (due to an allergic reaction from a bee sting), catch on fire, turn into a snowball and more. There are many secrets to be found in every level, that is always a bonus. 4 jewel pieces must be found in each board before you can confront the boss. Collecting all of the CDs is quite difficult (there is one for each board), and they really don't seem to serve any purpose, but I haven't found all of them yet. The story line is pretty typical, but with a few surprises once you get to the end of the game. My only complaint is that the game is fairly easy.
There is a shop owned by a little wavy guy that you pass right before each boss - my advice, don't buy anything from him if you want the game to be more challenging. You play games and earn coins to purchase things from the shop, and then the guy follows you into the boss's chamber and hits him with whatever you bought (there are various item to choose from, the more expensive it is the more damage it does) before you confront him. The problem? Some of the items do so much damage you only have to hit the boss once or twice to beat him. Great if you want all the treasure, which disappears as the clock winds down while you're fighting the boss. But even the final boss can be beaten easily if an extra item is purchased. But like I said before there are many secrets in this game, and many items to collect, which makes it fun to play even after you've beaten the game - you can go back to your beaten game's levels and explore them further.
A bit childish, somewhat easy, but hey - I had fun playing it, and that's the point, right? So I give this game 4 stars....more info
  • A whole new M(W)arior World, more like a puzzle challenge
This game is amazing, especially to me, because I did not like Wario Land and the Mario games have been done to death. Wario, who is a bigger bullying version of Mario offers a whole new game to play. Rather than Mario who jumps on enemies, leaps to punch blocks above him and collects mushrooms and fire flowers to power-up; Wario uses the direct method, ramming straight through enemies, blocks and collects hearts for energy. You can even pick up enemies to throw them. So what makes this game different than a Mario game? Because a Mario game was simple, where you go right and find the end of a level. With Wario's land, each level is a miniature maze, where you enter a level through a portal where you must then find four pieces of a stone, which are scattered in the level, then you must find the key. They key is unique, because they key is a bird who's beak is the key and it actually flies behind you and bigger enemies can steal the key and hold it hostage. You can leave the level, but the key is needed to get to the next level. To top it all off, you can't just finish a level, you must find and activate a bomb! The bomb then sets a timer at the top of the screen for you to exit the level by. Each level is very detailed and the graphics are completely different, such as a Desert, a Haunted House, a Lake, a Raining Swamp, Paradise, and a Sunflower Field to name a few. To make sure you don't get bored, there are coins, jewels and gold to collect, in which with all of this cash, you can pay to play mini games, like Roulette, Homerun Derby and Wario Hop. The graphics are great and Wario is full of tricks so there is great gameplay....more info
  • Wario Land 4
This Wario game is by far the best of them all especially on GBA. It is very challenging and has hard bosses butit is loads of fun. After you beat the four main levels which each have four mini levels and a boss each, you go to the final golden level. Sometimes it gets frustrating cause you can't beat it, but for all you Wario fans you'll love this high quality and fun game....more info
  • it realy cool
this is a realy cool game but it hard you will enjoy it it has alot of levels and realy hard so you will proably be playing it for a long time...more info
  • I love this game
I love this game. Just like all the other wario games you have to find treasure chests. There is 4 chests per level that you have to find. Some of them are very easy to locate tho. 4 levels per 4 worlds. There's also a normal, hard, and very hard mode in this game. Very Hard mode has to be unlocked tho by completing hard mode which took forever for me sheesh! But anyways if you feel like you got the heart of exploration and treasure hunting this is for you. I recommend it!

Ps. The world themes in this game are: Nature, Toy box (I hated that world but I liked the others), Factory, and a Spooky theme....more info
  • Really COOL!!
Warioland 4 is a really fun game, in the game you have to go through a lot of levels in the Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald & Topaz passages. Once you get every jewel piece in each level you can battle the monster in the passage, once you defeat every monster in every passage you will be able to enter the Golden passage!! If you like Comic Mischief then you really need to get this game!?!...more info

  • Wario Land 4--Its ok............but not THAT good........
Wario Land 4 for GBA was an OK game but it lacked LENGTH. I beat the game in about a week...where as Wario Land 3 took me almost a month and a half to conquer. Wario Land 4 has EXCELLENT graphics and INCREDIBLE soundtracks that make you want to ask..."Where'd it go?" after you've beaten the game. Even though, it was just as fun and challenging as Wario Land 3. Overall, I would recommend this game for anyone who likes a good challenge! Thanks for reading!...more info

  • challenging but excellent
Ok, let me start from the beginning. This game is amazing! You start as Wario at the Entry Passage and that level is simple, the game tells you the controls on the walls. After you beat that, you fight an easy boss, then you can open up many passages: Topaz, Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald. And the great thing is you can move from passage to passage as you progress through the game, so you don't have to be stuck on one level. Next, let me talk about graphics. The graphics in this game are brilliant. Wario looks great in the nice light of the GBA SP, and the scenery is beautiful. The characters are well- colored, and this game has wonderful graphics for the GBA. Next, gameplay. This game is very, very, entertaining, and you'll never get bored of the challenging, yet fun, stages. In fact, the levels are so fun and exciting that you'll want to play levels after you've beaten them. I do. The mini- games are cool, and they add excitement to the game. You have to pay a small fee of coins, but it pays off if you're good at the game, because you get medals for how good you do. One of the most fun things about this game is the side- effects Wario gets. Like, in some levels, if you touch a bat, you'll become a Vampire bat, and you can fly. Also, if you eat an apple, than, you'll become Fat Wario, and you can break hard blocks. All the side- affects are: Fat Wario, Puffy Wario, Vampire Bat Wario, Flat Wario, Bouncy Wario, Zombie Wario, Snowman Wario, Bubble Wario, Flaming Wario, and Frozen Wario. These side- effects are goofy, but they are a vital part of the game, sometimes you have to get them on purpose to get past tricky challenges, and you'll get each one a few times before finishing the game. Next, Controls. The controls in this game are very simple, and all you have to do is look on the walls in the Entry Passage, it shows you what to do. But, if you want to learn the side- effect controls, just read the back of the Instruction Booklet. Last, but certainly not least, is the sound. The music and sound effects are marvelous in this game, and you'll want to sometimes stop Wario and listen to the brilliant music in levels. The boss music is great, and the theme song is dandy. Also, the music genre changes from stage to stage, so you'll never hear the same song twice. Basically, you have to find the four treasure pieces and Keyzer to beat a level. Ok, so this game is perfect. I bought this game almost two months ago, and I am not even half- way to beating it. This game is NOT EASY! It is challenging and rewarding. I bought this game for the GBA SP, hoping itwas good, I have only played one game with Wario in it, Mario Kart for N64. I wasn't a Wario fan before I played this game. But now, I love it! This game is not simple, I'm glad, because I enjoy challenging games. This is how I would rate this game: Fun: 5/5 Graphics: 5/5 Controls: 5/5 Sound: 5/5. As you can see, this game is perfect! Anyone who read this review who has GBA, BUY THIS GAME!!! It is a superb game and it makes an excellent title to GBA owners' collection....more info

  • Short but hands down the best wario game eva!!
I've played warioland 1 which i borrowed from a friend, warioland3 which was great, and now another wario game warioland 4. This is the greatest wario game eva!!!. I mean yeah its short, but a little bit challenging and not that easy as you all might think. Wario is almost invincible as always and there's nothing different about him. the New Bosses are great and the game play and graphics and sound are awesome. I liked it alot....more info
  • HORRIBLE
are you kidding me? i bought this game and within less than a week i returned it! it was the worst game i have ever played! if you like wario get one of the old wario games like warioland 2 for the original gba or... you can just hate wario!sure at first you play it it seems good... i loved it at first but then it just gets lamer and lamer i mean who ever heard of getting stung by a bee and turning all swollen and flying... it is ridiculous! o and turning into a triangle block! i couldnt even lookat it in stores it was so horrible and not to mention the price... (depending on where you get it) for that piece of junk! im serious im not just writing this cus all my other reviews are usually 5s but this game is horrible kirby is a pretty bad game but not worse than this! i fell asleep while playing it wen i woke up my batteries were barely left! they should probably give you some free bateries with it!...more info
  • Itsa too easy.
I love this game, and Wario is the only character who has a worse Italian-American accent than me. There are cool mini games, my favorite being Wario Home Run Derby. And the game music is pretty good, It's also cool that you can hear Wario talk.

But I beat this game in an hour and a half, without any codes or maps. It was a little too easy for someone who had no idea what he was doing.

I'd buy this game anyway, maybe I'm just a great gamer, but this game is probably one of the best games on GBA right now....more info

  • Wario's Back!
The fat, lazy, ugly, greedy ol' villian Wario is back! In one of his best, newest games ever, he travels to an ancient pyramid to make as much money as he can get. Insane levels, wacky worlds, and hideous bosses define this game as Wario's second best, next to the Wario Ware series. Some amazingly original ideas for levels will take you aback. I can't explain the gameplay, so I won't try. Just get this game. I bought it. YOU CAN TOO!...more info

  • A great action/puzzle combo
I am not much of a fan of puzzle games, but WL4 combines elements of mario-style platform gaming and puzzle games in a very fun way, it's one of my favorite games and I think it shows that 2D video games are not dead.

The game starts with a short training stage which familiarizes you with all of Wario's moves. Wario has a wide range of moves (he can pick up and throw objects, roll down hills, stomp, jump, run, dash, and duck). The trick of this game is figuring out where to use these moves to get you to hidden parts of the game.

Each level has 4 jewel pieces you must find. You have unlimited time to explore the level until you find a timer. When you start the timer, you have to rush back to the beginning of the stage before time runs out. When you hit the timer, different blocks become activated/deactivated, which completely changes the layout of the level (making you take a different route back to the beginning of the stage.) This is usually the most frantic and action-packed part of each level, as sometimes you still have jewel pieces to find in the newly opened areas.

The levels are huge and very cleverly designed. You can blow right through them or get lost exploring all the hidden areas. Each level has unique aspects to the environment, which Wario can take advantage of. It's a lot of fun trying to uncover every hidden area, which really ups the replay value.

Also, in each stage there are at least one or two puzzle areas, which is a sort of optionall mini game where you must figure out how to get a diamond using Warios moves and the stages environmental elements. These stages are practically a game withtin themselves. You don't even have to play them, but again, it really helps the replay value of the game.

Fans of the earlier Wario land games might not like the inclusion of an energy meter in this game. In the earlier games, you couldn't die. In WL4, I think it makes the game more intense and makes you play more carefully, as if you lose all your energy in one level, you must start all over again.

The graphics are colorful and detailed, the sound is great. There's a lot of good video game music in this game, and the music is dynamic to what Wario is doing (e.g., if he is ducking, the music slows down, if he is dizzy, the music sounds atonal and crazy)

If you like the Mario games, this is a change of pace from them in a way, but will be familiar enough to get around. This is a great action-puzzler, and one of nintendo's best games....more info
  • This Game [is bad]
I have had the 3rd Wario Land for gameboy and that's better than this. Wario's back in his 4th Gameboy game for Nintendo. What is so great about this game is it is not only on the GBA,But it is much easier! Wario finds the ledgend of a golden pyramid. When he goes in,he has to go through 5 levels,In L1,there is only one level. The others have 4. I am a Wario fan because the other games are very stupid ! Sadly,Wario is not invincible. So you'll have to keep his health up!Warning, this is only for Wario fans only!!!!!!!!!!...more info

  • Wario Land 4
The widely popular Wario Land series makes its 4th installment on the GameBoy Advance. This time around, our greedy 2-D friend is inside of a golden pyramid that supposedly holds a wealth of untold treasure. The gameplay is similar to past Wario games, & this time around Wario is no longer invicible, meaning you'll half to be a bit more careful while looking for gold. & the bright, colorful graphics show up much nicer on the GBA's screen then the past Wario Land 3 for GBC did. & last but not least, you can take a break from stealing & play mini games to earn extra coins. Bottom line: This one should be one to look forward to....more info
  • Wario Land 4 Lives Up to His Name And the Standards
Get your greed face on and let us muster gluttony for the precious riches within a mysterious pyramid. Mario's flipped persona arrives in his latest installment that is Wario Land 4. Perusing through a newspaper and driven to the untouched riches of a recently discovered wonder, the ever so dogged Wario is oblivious to the demises of earlier attempts. Up for the thrill and as money-hungry as America's lovable politicians (ha-ha), Wario seeks out the pyramid.

As 2D side-scrollers go, Wario Land 4 lives up to the portable gaming standards. Using the incredible power of the GBA, a whole new height of action is consigned for players. Squeezing high results, their new disposal consists of Wario's truckload of expert moves like his mighty butt stomp, the decisive bash, the swift slide, and much, much more. With his new array of techniques, the overtly fat Wario earns a thumbs-up for his trickier side of side-scrolling gaming. Besides collecting items to complete the stages, Wario must now go deep into guarded enemy territory and keep his guard on his health. Wario's life, now embodied as heart containers, must be sustained by dodging attacks. If the containers drain clear, the player is tossed back to the stage's entrance and as a penalty, loses all items found. Some areas in the pyramid are to be advanced by the help of enemies. Wario must proceed towards certain enemies and imitate their special property. Wario goes through a type of metamorphosis if successfully in contact with an enemy. There are also quite a few screen-filling bosses the players square off against. Clever ways of attacking them must be utilized in order to defeat the overgrown menaces. If the player has any snag, he can simply purchase power-ups at a shop then vanquish the colossal brutes. Lastly the three dandy mini-games such as the home run derby, match the face game, and doge the whizzing objects, add to enhance the replay value. Difficulty-wise, Wario Land 4 proves to be as painless as old-schooling gaming can get.

Wario Land 4 is a great 2D platform and shows with its bountiful stages. Fast, smooth, and clean gameplay is generally found everywhere with the gaudy graphics. Let's face it, there is no other finer side-scrolling on the market right now (other than the Castlevania one), and this is a portable title gone the extra mile....more info

  • Good but not great
This game has great graphics and gameplay but once you beat it it gets really boring. The mini games are: Home run Derby, Wario Hop, and Wario's rouette they're o.k. The music is pretty good but could be a lot better if there were more levels....more info
  • Best Game for GBA
I am perhaps the biggest Wario fan ever. I have been waiting for this game since Januray 2001 when i heard there was going to be a Wario game for GBA. Well, the day finally came when i got to play it. I popped it into my trusty GBA, and was immediately impressed with how good Wario looked on GBA. I continued to play, and was again impressed with how good the game as a whole looked. And then the game was over. It was over in less than 3 hours. If i am going to pay [price] for a game, i would except it to last a little longer than 2 1/2 hours, even if it does star my beloved Wario. Even though it was ridiculously short, i would recommend this game to anyone who has ever wanted to grow an angular moustache that vaguely resembles a "w", anyone who has ever found themselves inexplicably shouting out "It'sa me, Wario", or anyone who enjoys video games....more info
  • Really,Really wicked
Wario land 4 is a really good games with some extremely fun mini-games along with the great passages you have to complete. There are some really good graphics 100% better than the GBC ones.

  • Wario Land 4 RULES
I have always loved Wario Land Games mostly because they rule and Mario stinks. I mean how are you suppost to have fun playing a Mario World game when if you get hit just once or twice you die its stupid. Wario game are awsome you can take 8 hits. You know those stupid little shy guys well Wario land 4 replaces those with awsome guys with spears that get stronger as they change color. The bad thing is there are only major 5 bosses but they are very hard to beat. There are 4 passages from which you can play four levels in each passage and 1 in the starting passage and the final passage. If who are a starter to Wario Land game you should play the game in normal mode first because the hard mode is near impossable. Some levels are easy like plam tree paridice and some are hard like the golden passage. Wario's attacks are cool to he can pound enimies wiht his bottom, smash them with his elbow, or ram them with his head unlike Mario games where you have to jump on the enemeies head. I would chose this game over Mario World any day and I think this game should get a 5 star rating....more info

  • Side-scrolling, platform-jumping excellence!
Wario Land 4 (a.k.a. Wario Land Advance) is an excellent example of innovative gameplay in a genre that has pretty much been left in the dust by current next generation consoles. I love the 3D graphics and gameplay that the GameCube, PC, PS2, and XBox offer, but playing a 2D platformer brings me back to the days of frustratingly good fun that the original Super Mario games of the NES and Super NES era. Sonic was great on Genesis too. While these characters have made superb trasitions to the 3D realm in most cases, there is great gameplay still to be had in the 2D world of Wario Land 4. The level design is truely creative and involves thinking to get through. There were several instances where I was reminded of how I felt the first time I played through the 2D Mario games. Specifically when I discovered a hidden room. The game is very addictive. It can be beaten in a couple of days, but the time you will spend with it will be very good. Wario is a great anti-mario. He is not totally evil, just morally corrupt, and for this reason he is a great addition to Nintendo's unchallenged character library... If you own a Game Boy Advance, don't pass this one up. By the way. If you are thinking about buying a GBA, and are still deciding, get the SP. I have owned both, and the GBA SP is well worth the additional money. Playing Wario in the dark is fun indeed....more info
  • It's cool
Wario Land 4, in my opinion, is one of the best games for the GBA. It's way better than the Super Mario Advance games as it's a little easier and has better levels. The levels are well designed and are beautifully colored. The boss battles are a blast and the mini-games are rewarding. Playing the mini-games earns you some coins that you can use to buy gagets and goodies for the boss battles. The music is even cool in it's own unique way. This game might be a bit on the easy side but it never gets really tedious....more info
  • Another Wonderful Wario!
I am an adult who has played and won all 4 Wario games. This one is a little different. You must go through all the levels in a pyramid and collect crystals, coins, a cd (which you can listen to in the sound room), 4 jewel pieces which are in treasure chests, and the hidden treasure. At the beginning of the level you will enter a vortex. After you find the above items, you must find Keyzer (a key shaped bird) and the special switch. When you jump on the switch the timer starts and you have a limited amount of time to return to the beginning of the level and exit through the vortex. If you have collected Keyzer, you can unlock the door to the next level. After you have collected all four pieces of the jewel in all four levels in a passage, you must fight a boss. This is where the coins and crystals come in handy. After each level, for 5,000 coins, you can play a mini game and collect medals. The mini-games are baseball, hopping over things, and roulette with Wario's face. All are fun. With the medals you can buy an item in the item shop on the way to meet the boss. The items will do damage to the boss which can make your job easier. Wario has all of his usual moves, ie jump, grab, swim, roll, dash, smash, stomp, and with the help of friends he can get fat, turn into fire or ice, and fly. However, he not invincible. You must also gather hearts for health. When you lose all health you go to the beginning of the level and lose all items. I really enjoyed this game. The only complaint might be that it was too short. It could have had more levels. Although I must admit, I have not yet found all of the items, so...keep playing!...more info
  • Wario's back and better than ever
This game was my favorite out of all the warioland titles.
But the gameplay was much different than the others so its a bit hard to get used to.
you have to gaet 4 pieses of jewel and a keyser (key to get to the next level) and do that for 4 levels in each world (4 worlds).
The bosses are to easy except in hard mode.
If your a wario land player than get this game u wont be dissapointed.
P.S. the mini games are great too....more info
  • Mario beats Wario But Peking duck beats noodles
Ok, i first played this game during a Chinese New Year Banquet which was amazing... I love peking Duck...... And those Crab balls... hmmmmm. Anyway my friend lent it to me during a boring speech about ma and horses and mama mia, obviously he was kind of tipsy... nobody was really listeningSo i asked my friend for the game. He lent it to me and when i started i was amazed by the graphics!! that guy was still talking... But the game was very confusing... Still talking.... Oh look Pork pause game... hmmm good... anyways I got pretty disoriented in the first level unlike i did with Super Mario advance 2. Guy still talking... Now brought in a painting of horses. The game was bad... The reason i gave it 3 stars and not 1 was 'cause it made time pass pretty quickly. Oh good noodles hmmmm... Now the guy shut-up. Can i borrow Super Mario Adv. 2? Thanks. This Mario game kicks ... Oh look tea... bye have to go now need to drink tea...

    GoodBye...more info

  • My Daughter loves this game
My daughter will be 6 in January and she is a wiz on her gameboy advance. This is one of her favorite games. I am a gamer from way back and often I run into areas I don't know what to do and have to ask her for help. She loves it when she can say, "Here let me do it for you."...more info
  • Does Wario Land 4 Live up to its Predecessors?
The answer is: It does. What I've always loved about the Wario Land series is its challenge level and puzzles, and Wario Land 4 doesn't disappoint. The game will give you a great first impression as you watch Wario tumble through a vortex into a level. Wario must then search the level for 4 gem pieces as well as a CD. In addition, he must find a "Keyzer", which is a key creature that enables Wario to enter the next level. Nintendo gave the game a completely new spin by adding a timer in each level. When Wario enters a level, he can not re-enter the vortex (which acts as a door), but when he hits the timer it re-opens, although he must rush back to get into the vortex in time. Wario is also mortal, and he can die if you're not careful. His zany transformations have returned. Examples are becoming flat when crushed by a machine, and going on fire when, surprise, you touch fire! You'll have to stop laughing at the transformations, however, since they're an important part of clearing each stage.

That's the basic information about the game, but here's my opinion. The game utilizes the GBA's graphics very well. The sound is especially EXCELLENT, although the CDs are kind of pointless. As for game design, the levels are intricate, and with a choice of Normal, Hard, or the unlockable Super Hard mode, every player gets a challenge. If you're a hard-core Wario fan, head directly to hard mode. The levels are huge, and it does take a long time to beat each one. I strongly disagree with EGM magazine's comment on the game's being able to beat in the "bigger part of a rainy day;" the game will certainly give even the most experienced Wario fan (which I consider myself!) many, many hours of fun. Some sources claim the game is too short. This is true, although the game still gives a lot of challenge. Still, once you start playing, you'll understand that the 22 levels are indeed intricate and difficult, although they are not too hard for a younger player (except for some later levels), and still challenge (in hard mode) the most experienced Wario veteran.

In conclusion, Wario Land 4 is a truly wonderful game that platform fans SHOULDN'T MISS! Although shorter than its predecessor's, the game definitely lives up to the Wario legacy. It will give hours and hours of puzzles and just pure fun. Go out and buy Wario Land 4; it's worth your thirty dollars. Dive into the vortex and get ready for a great time!

P.S. While you're at it, check out the Wario website--the entire site will really give you a laugh!...more info

  • A Wario Game
This game is easy in general but sometimes there is a difficult boss battle. For me the fun part is the levels where you are just looking for the frog-headed thing and beating up the enimies in your way. The settings are sometimes dreary even though the game is mainly for younger gamers. That doesnt ruin the experience though. Overall, this is an exciting game that stays fun for a long time. ...more info
  • Good,
It's a good game, but if you don't save your game, You have to go through a slow process. You can choose to play at 2 levels, Normal and hard. It's a puzzle game. Overall it's a fun game for someone who can never get past level 3 on adventure games, like me....more info
  • A cool game to add to a Gameboy Advance Collection!
This game is a load of fun and laughs. You play as Wario a greedy fat little guy who fights through 16 levels, 3 minigames, and 5 bosses to get treasure. The game is a good graphics( it got 3rd place for best graphics on gameboy advance), side scrolling adventure. There are 4 themes of levels and bosses for each one. Two really great features are the minigames and the sound room. This game is great and you'll play for hours. It is a bit hard and short( compared to Mario) but besides that it's a cool game for anyone. So buy it!...more info

  • Simply great!
Get ready, Wario/Mario fanatics, this is the game to end ll games!!!!! Here are the good things about it:

1: The graphics are really beautiful. The GBA is a great platform for this game. Backgrouds scroll effortlessly. Wario looks GREAT!

2: The game never gets boring. There is so much difference between each passage and level, it makes for ENDLESS replay value. Also, since you can only play most of the levels by unlocking them, the game is addictive.

3: The game is fun, challenging, and yet short of frustrating. Near the end of each level, there is a switch that you land on to turn on the vortex and timer. Then, you must return to the vortex before time runs out, which is no mean feat.

4: There are all sorts of extras and diversion mixed into the game, such as minigames and CDs. There are three minigames, which you play to get medals to buy itms to make the bosses easier. And there are 16 CDs, one in each level, which make interesting noises.

5: The bosses and enemies are creative. All 5 bosses are neat and VERY different. The enemies aren't all the same, on e bad characteristic of many games like Warioland 4.

I recommend this game for 8- to 14-year-olds with the realization that this game has lots of depth and takes time to play....more info

I don't know what this whole "I beat it in one day" thing is all about, but I've had this game for a month or two and I still have yet to beat the bosses (maybe that's because this is my first ever experience into the gaming world). The graphics are amazing, it's a fun game to play, and very challenging. This is a terrific game, worth the money, and I highly recommend it to anyone with a GBA....more info
