This solidly constructed, stylish-looking dehumidifier features a powerful reciprocating compressor and castor wheels, which make it easy to move from room to room. Drying out musty bedrooms, bathrooms, or kitchens doesn't take long with the dehumidifier's ability to extract up to 30 pints of moisture out of the air per day. An indicator warns when its 6-1/2-liter-capacity water tank is full, while automatic overflow protection shuts the device down until the water bucket is emptied. For efficiency, its humidistat sensor automatically maintains desired humidity levels, and for added convenience, its upward dry-air outlet allows for drying clothes. An easy-access carbon filter fits neatly in the back. The unit measures 16-1/2 by 12 by 26-3/4 inches. --Catie Unger

OK, BUT PROBLEMS WITH HUMIDISTAT As far as taking water out of the air, this unit does fine. I have had problems with the humidistat/control panel since purchasing this unit. I have called customer service 3 times and each time they have sent me a new control panel. Once installed, the unit works fine for like 1 day and then the same problem happens again! Sooooo frustrating! The problem is, the fan runs constantly. It is supposed to shut off when the air reaches the humidity set, but the unit will not shut off! I have had this unit for a few months. I with I had returned it when I had the chance. Today I placed an order for a Frigidaire model that I hope will be better....more info
It keeps working! I've had this dehumidifier for well over a year, maybe two. I usually have to empty morning and night, depending on the humidity. I use the outlet that blows hot air to dry clothes hung on a rack. It looks good to use in my office, and it is very effective. I would definitely buy another and am seriously considering it, since I need one in two different parts of my building. It does have wheels, which makes moving it much easier....more info
Great product for the price This product drains water like you would not believe. I live in the South San Francisco area which is not that humid but I have to empty the container 4 times a day.
Only complain is when Amazon.com sent me the product the product box was damage, lucky the goods where ok....more info
Works Very Well We used this in the lower level of a split level home. It got pretty damp at times and this worked very well. I think it's an excellent untit and would recommend it....more info
Same problem as F.Baez I purchased this dehumidifier over two months ago and it has not worked at all. Customer service has told me more than once that my replacement 'humidistat' would be delivered in two weeks. I am still waiting, it has been eight weeks.
My advice would be to do business with another company or find another product elsewhere....more info
Excellent for our needs We get a small to medium amount of water leakage in our basement after very heavy rains and we needed something to take up the slack the foundation was letting through. This worked perfectly. Also helps take that damp musty feel out (to the degree a basement can be rid of it.)
Only negative side is I wish the drip pan was 25-50% bigger. When its really wet down there and the dehumidifier is going non-stop we have to empty it every hour or so. On the other hand, the small size is convenient for storage and keeping it from obstructing things while in use. Soo pick your poison on that one.
Overall I'd say if you need an industrial type machince go get an industrial strength one, not this. This has been great for occasional, small to medium size puddles and drying out the air a little to make it more comfortable....more info
Don't buy from this company I purchased this dehumidifier less than three months ago and it will not turn off. I called customer service and left a message and I e-mailed them and got no response. Finally I checked their FAQ list and it indicates that I need a replacement "humidistat" which will take two months to arrive from China according to customer service. Take your business elsewhere....more info
AWESOME!!!! Works GREAT!!! Pulls water out of the air like you wouldn't believe. I have a damp basement, and before I attached the drain hose, I had to empty the tank 3-4 times a day. Worth every penny....more info
Great machine! I never had heard of the Windchaser brand but decided to take a chance on one of their dehumidifiers. The price was one of the best at the time. It works very well in our basement. We live in a high humidity area and have to empty the bucket once a day. The noise level is fairly quiet. I would recommend this unit to anyone....more info
A Thirsty Beast I can't claim much previous experience with dehumidifiers, but this one did the job, and did it well. I used this thirsty beast to help suck up the excess water of a truly gross basement flood, and it made a big difference in the clean-up and with the general air quality. The set-up was simple, the 30-pint container was substantial, and there were no mechanical failures of any kind, in spite of the fact that I ran the dehumidifier pretty much non-stop.
Obviously, if you've suffered a huge amount of water damage, or you're living in the middle of a swamp or something, you'll want to think about a larger model, but I strongly recommend this brand....more info
