THIS IS THE BEST BUY I HAVE MADE IN YEARS. I AM 80 AND HAVE BEEN FIGHTING A WHEELBARROW FOR ALMOST THAT LONG. EVEN THOUGH IT IS A BIT FLIMSY, I WILL BUY ANOTHER EVEN IF IT ONLY LASTS 3 MONTHS...more info
  • A Pretty Decent Yard/Garden Cart
I was in need of a yard/garden cart for hauling wood, brush, gardening stuff, etc. as the wheelbarrow doesn't work that well in all situations. I read all the reviews I could find on this cart; some pro, some con, and decided to go for it. So far so good.

The assembly wasn't bad. The instructions were fairly explanatory and straightforward, and all the hardware was included. The welds on the metal parts were decent and the paint job was good on all parts. I decided to add flat washers to each bolt on the inside (against the plywood) to ensure that they didn't dig into or pull through the wood, and to provide a tight, solid hold. It helped to have an awl handy for lining up the holes when mounting metal frame pieces to the wooden sides and bottom. Assembly time was probably an hour.

I wouldn't call this cart "heavy duty" but it certainly seems adequate for a good workout on our homestead. I have found it to be a pretty tough and versatile so far, at least for home use. I have used it for hauling firewood, brush, and yard waste, and it easily handles a hefty load. It seems pretty well balanced so it isn't too heavy on the handle when pushing/pulling loads. I am glad I didn't get the 14 cubic foot cart that I see is available; I think it would be too big (and heavy) for many projects, and more difficult to navigate in wooded areas.

Time will tell how it holds up, but the workmanship seems decent (especially considering its origin-China) and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one if needed. It sure beats pushing the wheelbarrow around. I would probably give it a 5-star but I haven't had it long enough to make that endorsement.

  • below average quality and a terrible odor out of the box
This gardenway knock off is of elow average quality and had apparently been fumigated or treated somehow inside the container or box, with a not very healthy odor that had to be aired out for 10 days before assembly.
Wierd green color of the plywood not apparent in photos. Look further for a better product....more info
  • YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
THE CART IS WELL DESIGNED FOR LIGHT DUTY GARDEN DUTIES. I'M NOT SURE HOW LONG THE SIDES AND BOTTOM WOULD LAST IF KEPT OUTSIDE OR HAULING WET OR DAMP MATERIAL. I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY WIFE BECAUSE SHE ENJOYS WORKING IN THE YARD......IF THE CART WERE GOING TO BE FOR BOTH OF US TO USE, I WOULD HAVE SPENT MORE AND PURCHASED SOMETHING WITH A FIBERGLASS BED AND SIDES...more info
  • Great garden cart
The cart was delivered promptly to my door. I put it together in about an hour, and it was ready to go. The huge wheels make it easy to travel over all the different kinds of terrain we have on the property. Having the dump feature with the sliding front panel is terrific.
It's wider than my wheelbarro so it won't make it through a couple of my gates.I have to take the long way around to get to the side yard....more info
  • This Little Cart Can Do The Job
Got the Agri-Fab 7-Cubic Foot Garden Cart to replace an old, worn-out garden cart. It's smaller and a bit more cheaply made, but came at a much lower price. Thanks to the earlier reviewer who suggested adding washers at the screw heads on the inside of the cart, it is fairly sturdy. Though smaller, it's big enough for gardening chores on our flower and vegetable beds. I'd never call it a farm cart, but it's a decent, little garden cart....more info
  • Good Buy

  • A tool you can use
This cart is a little pricey, but well worth the money. For yard and garden work this cart beats a wheelbarrel....more info
  • garden cart
although the wooden material could have been a little sturdier-
the cart itself is very usefull-i use it for all garden chores as well as hauling other items such as garbage to the curb....more info
  • don't waste your money
This cart will work fine if your under four feet tall and don't want to haul much. As usual came with missing bolts - why is this? Way to small to ever get to it's 300 pound rating. Don't waste your money - it's way smaller than the picture makes it look like....more info
