Product Description

Use for cooking oatmeal, warming leftovers or simmer pasta sauce. Dense, non-porous, highly wear resistant. Hard anodized construction heats quickly and spreads heat evenly. Quantanium non-stick cooking surface is reinforced with titanium. Metal utensil safe. Solid stainless steel riveted handle stays cool on the stovetop. Tapered rim for drip-free pouring. Monitor food while cooking with break-resistant glass cover. Tight-fitting cover seals in moisture and nutrients.

This small but versatile 1-1/2 quart saucepan is ideal for heating milk, melting butter, or making sauces. It's also perfect for the single cook, allowing small amounts of food to be heated without the scorching that can happen in a larger pan. The thick, hard-anodized aluminum construction conducts heat evenly and efficiently through the sides as well as the base, a tempered glass lid seals in flavor while keeping the contents visible, and a specially designed rim allows for easy drip-free pouring.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic hard-anodized cookware features an advanced Quantanium nonstick coating, designed for healthy low-fat cooking. The coating is tough enough for use with metal utensils. Even delicate foods like fish can be cooked without sticking, and cleanup is quick and easy. Every pan is constructed from durable 3mm hard-anodized aluminum, providing superb heat transfer without hot spots. The securely riveted stay-cool steel handles are oven-safe to 500 degrees F, so food can be browned on the stovetop then transferred to the oven to finish cooking. This pan should be hand-washed with a mild detergent, and it carries a limited lifetime warranty against defects. --Simon Leake

  • Great saucepan for the money
This is a great saucepan and a size we use a lot. I would recommend this pan to anyone who need a good pan but doesn't want to spend a lot....more info
  • Great, but not perfect.
Wonderful in every way, if you take proper care. No dishwashers. Use hot mits....keep sharp utinsil men and children over 50 feet away........more info
  • Terrible pan don't waste your money!!!
I just got this pan today. It looked sturdy and well made. I used it one time for about 3 minutes. After I washed it with a sponge (nothing to scratch it) like normal I saw that the nonstick coating was already flaking off in several places. I'm surprised there were so many positive reviews. This is a terrible product do not waste your money! I would give no stars if I could....more info
  • Nonstick coating melt after 5 months
First thing, it's not real Hard-Anodized.
The 2nd thing is that the nonstick coating is so poor quality.

My wift used it to cook noodle some time for my baby, but last month some day, I found the nonstick coating is already melted!

    Stay away from Cuisinart....more info
  • Would be nice if the lid fit...
It's a lovely, heavy pan. However, the lid does not fit. I ordered this through "Best Overstocks" seller and will not use them again. Not only was the order eight days past "latest arrival date" but when I contacted the seller they never bothered to reply. To add insult to injury, two of the three pots in the order are warped so that the lids do not fit. Amazon's A-Z Guarantee refunded only the shipping....more info
  • Great Pot
This pot is a great deal. I had it for a couple of weeks now and it has been great for cooking, nothing sticks to it and clean up is easy. I love the glass top for see what is in the pot and how it is cooking. Great pot for the money. I find this pot to be just as good as my non stick calphalon if not a little better and the price is lower then the calphalon....more info
  • Great cookware
Very stylish and clean up is a snap. I have bought every piece to complete the entire set. For the price, why buy anything else?...more info

  • Great pot--be careful with the detergent you use to clean it though....
This is a fabulous perfect sized pot! As far as its durability, it holds up during cooking like a pro. However be careful with it in the dishwasher as mine ended up with white streaks on the outside that I could not remove. I cannot tell if the dishwasher scratched the pot or is the detergent not suitable for it. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this pot....more info
  • Great, but it gets hot!
The previous reviewers did well highlighting the benefits of this saucepan. My only gripe is that the handle gets incredibly hot. Still, it cools down quickly with exposure to water. ...more info
  • Has Held Up Very Well
This little pan gets used every day and has done so for the past 4 or so years. I would buy this again in a heart beat....more info
  • Great Saucepan at Super Price
I purchased both the Cuisinart Hard-Anodized 1-1/2 quart and 2 quart saucepans and am very impressed with the build quality, performance, styling, looks, and value. I have used both several times and find that they distribute heat evenly and work very well on low to medium electric stove burner settings. Clean-up is a snap; hot soapy water makes these saucepans look like they came right from the box. The handles do not get too hot and the non-stick interior shows no sign of deterioration. The glass lids -- nice feature -- fit just right, however, their handles do get hot so a hotpad is a must.

These saucepans are not as thick or heavy as their Calphalon counterparts but perform just a well and cost less. I think that Cuisinart's non-stick surface is superior to Calphalon's. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. ...more info
  • A Great Saucepan!
I loved this saucepan so much that a few weeks later I bought a whole set-and got a great deal through Amazon too! They cook evenly, clean up beautifully, and it's great having the glass lids. This saucepan is the perfect size for soups and sauces. I use it every day!...more info
  • Awesome saucepan
Love the size and the non stick surface is a real plus.I use this pan frequently....more info
  • Did my homework
I have bought all my cookware at Amazon and have nearly always selected Calphalon. I needed a 4 quart saucepan. Cuisinart has the right product at the right price. I have used it considerably in the last month. It has exceeded my expectations as to construction and useability. I highly recommend it....more info

  • excellent value for $15
I picked up a couple of the 3 quart pans from Amazon for $15 each. These are a great value at this price. The pans are lighter weight than some of my other pans, but the build quality is very good and I was expecting much less for this price. The $50 retail price is too much for this quality of pan, but you can't go wrong for $15....more info
  • worth the money
i really like this pan overall except for the time it takes to heat it up, since it's suggested not to use high heat.
other than that, once it's heated up, the heat stays constant and retains well. it's easy to wash and sturdy and good size for quick soup or sauce or even quick stir fry....more info
  • Great pan!
This sturdy pan is great for heating up soups and I also use it to stir fry veggies. The nonstick coating works well and I haven't seen any scratches yet. Heats up quickly and evenly. Just make sure you use wood or nylon utensils and keep it medium heat or lower. ...more info

  • Amazon doesn't offer an exchange...
I just received my order, and realized that I ordered a 1-1/2quart pan, instead of a 2quart. Yes, it was just one of those human errors that most of the customers have experienced once if not twice. Anyways,I was hoping that Amazon would happily exchange my unused pan; howevre, the answer was No. They don't offer an exchange! I just don't understand why...With my orginal order, I bought something else just so I will qualify for the free shipping, however, if I return the original item first and buy new one again,(which how I was recommended by Amazon) to qualify for the free shipping I'll have to buy something else AGAIN! That sounds like a rip off to me....more info

  • 2 quart saucepan
I think the base pot is very good and made very well. However, the handle stinks. If I had a small hand it would be good, but with large hands the handle is to small and I do not feel I get a good grip on the pot when it is heavy....more info
  • Nonstick issues and worst customer service ever.
I bought this saucepan and after 6 months a ring appeared inside the non-stick coat. As the company boasts in lifetime warranty,
    I tried to contact them...
1st try - on hold for 50 minutes - can't leave a message as well - gave up.
2nd try - emailed customer service with a photo of the pan - no reply.
3rd try - got hold of them, was told I need to send it over to them and also add $7 for the return shipping!

I paid $22, so to pay $14 just to get a new one after this one was defective seems excessive.

I have a few other non nonstick Quisinart pans and they are great. Don't buy the nonstick ones....more info

  • Fine budget nonstick saucepan
I bought this saucepan for scrambling eggs since All-Clad does not make a non-stick model in this size. It works fine, and the handles stay cool. It's not as solidly constructed or comfortable to use as our All-Clad cookware, but I gave it five stars due to the price difference. It's certainly an incredible value....more info

  • Fabulous Addition
This was a great addition to the set I purchased a year ago. There are times when I didn't need the larger saucepans but was already using the smaller one. So I purchased 2 more to add to the set. It works well when I'm just cooking for 2. ...more info
  • Great multi-purpose pan
I have been slowly building a Cuisinart collection. I am extremely pleased with the value and performance of these pans. I have had the 2qt saucepan for over a year now and it sees frequent use. Great to make home made gravy, sauces, soup, leftovers, or to heat some veggies. I use this pan occaisionally for making rice as well.
The pan heats quickly and evenly, the handle stays cool enough to handle, and the non-stick surface holds up well. I stick to wood and nylon utensils as any non stick surface can be damaged by aggressive metal utensils.
If your looking for a non stick sauce pan buy this one. You'll love the performance and the look. Nice see through lid to watch your veggies too. If used on a long simmer with lid, the lid will get a little hot so keep a pot holder nearby to lift it. Cuisinart makes some great cookware....more info
  • Not always perfect
I bought 10 piece couisinart chef nonstick, after 6 months, one of pan started sticking and non-stick coat was gone, I have to spent $14 to exchange for only one piece. so it is not always perfect....more info
