Customer Reviews:

  • Ripped off by the price
After spending almost $40.00 including postage for this toy, I found it at my neighborhood Target for $19.99. I felt ripped off and very unhappy.
My granddaughter loves the toy, but she would have loved it just as much for half the price.

  • role playing fun
Both of my 4 year old grandchildren and a 3 year old grandniece have enjoyed "curing" sick stuffed animals and locking and unlocking the cages the animals stay in while under the veterinarian's care....more info
  • money well spent
My 6 year old daughter asked for this 3 years ago for Christmas and she and her brother (8) still play with it. It is great for role playing and practicing nurturing skills, as well as alleviating anxiety about the doctor's office. My son is hard on toys and this has held up very well. It still looks like new and we have all the pieces because you can put them away in the case. I am buying one for my 2 year old niece this year....more info
  • My kid's new favorite toy
If she could, my daughter would sleep with this thing. We bought it for her on recommendation from her therapist, so for any parents out there whose kids have fine motor issues, this is a great toy for that, lots of grasping little things and turning them involved here. There are six little doors, behind which three little animals peep out, you have to fit the right key in the right door to get each one open. It also comes with a bunch of hospitaly things like a gigantic pair of tweezers, a barf dish, and a flashlight which (and this is the first of only two negative things I'll say about the toy) has a battery that is a pain in the butt to change. Tiny little screw embedded deep within the plastic casing.... anyway. The other negative comment I have is, the catch for the lid of the hospital is way too hard to close, for my daughter anyway. Many a time now, she's thought she's closed it and then happily grasped the handle to commence her daily dragging of the toy all over the house, only to have the lid fly back open on her when she pulls up on it, thus spilling the hospitaly contents all over the floor. She's ok with this though, because she likes putting things away, and this provides her with an opportunity to do so. Like I said, she'd sleep with the thing if we'd let her, she drags it all over the house, it's the first toy she goes for in the morning, she has no idea why anything else even exists. If you get your kid one, they'll probably like it too. ...more info
  • One of the best toys around
I bought this toy for my 2 year old daughter. It turns out that my 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son love it as much as the 2 year old. They all play with it together. It is easy to carry around the house or to take with us when we travel. They have had for about 6 weeks now and they still play with it almost every day. I have given it for gifts and all my friends love it too....more info
  • Well made toy that's fun and educational
I bought this toy for my 2 year old daughter, and she has really enjoyed it! She loves the mini stuffed animals and all the "doctor" tools. She also loves the colored kennels and has spent quite a bit of time allowing her animals to nap or rest in their favorite rooms. The keys and doors that lock are a little too advanced for her to use at the moment, but I know those will become more interesting to her soon. The only thing I would like to have seen is for the stethoscope to make heartbeat sounds to make it more realistic. We have another doctor's kit with a realistic sounding stethoscope and that has been a popular feature. Still, an all around great toy!...more info
  • vet in training
My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves this toy. She was speechless on Christmas morning. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up and this toy is great to let her explore. She even is sharing it with her brother,4yrs, and sister,2yrs. I would definitely recommend this toy to any child who likes caring for animals. ...more info
  • Great toy for kids!
This toy has great kid-appeal because there is so much to it: cute little animals, "doctoring" items, and little compartments that lock up with a set of keys! It all comes in a cute little "hospital" to carry around the house by the handle, and the pieces store inside the roof. I bought this for my 2-year-old, but it was a big hit with the other children, too. This toy encourages creative play because it can be used in more than one way (ie. the "cages" can serve other purposes, the doctoring items can be used for doctoring other dolls, etc.). The only complaint I have with this toy is that the containers of vitamins, etc. have sticker labels on them that the kids promptly ripped off. I would suggest that sticker decals are a bad idea for toys that very young children are going to play with. It is much better to have the pictures on the containers themselves. ...more info
  • Granddaughter's Favorite Santa Gift
Our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter loves this toy. She is still playing with it on December 29th. Plays every day with it. It is a very cute and very durable toy. A great find and a great buy!...more info
  • great toy
I bought this toy for my preschool and it came with a coupon for free issues to parent magazine so it almost paid for itself. The children enjoy the toy very much. The keys that open the doors are good for building fine motor skills.
