Product Description

Ultimate performance and quality for maximum results. With the LaserComb Premium, experience real hair growth with minimal effort. Rest easy knowing you have invested in a precision device, manufactured with the highest quality components and designed to last a lifetime.

If you are concerned about your hair, the earlier you start using the HairMax LaserComb, the better. There's nothing more detrimental to a person's appearance than thin, lifeless hair. And the longer you wait to do something about it, the less chance there is of reversing the problem. That's where HairMax steps in to help.

The HairMax LaserComb is a safe, simple way to a fuller head of thick, luxurious-looking hair.
With more than 90% of all LaserComb users achieving satisfaction with their results, this device is a safe, simple way to a fuller head of thick, luxurious-looking hair. It is a proven fact that skin cells "like" light. Your hair is no different. Both men and women of all ages can benefit from laser light therapy provided by the LaserComb.

Although individual results may vary, you should notice early improvements to the general appearance of your hair within the first eight to 16 weeks. These improvements should include shinier and thicker looking hair. In general, studies have shown that about 45% of LaserComb users see these results in as little as eight weeks of treatment. Another 45% realize benefits from use within eight to 16 weeks. A small group of users take longer and may not experience noticeable results before 16 weeks of use. Even Time Magazine spotted the benefits of LaserComb, featuring the invention in the December 4, 2000, "Inventions of the Year" issue.

Over the course of several more months, you may notice your hair gradually become fuller, stronger, and denser looking. Over time, all users -- both men and women -- usually notice progressively increasing benefits as they continue to use the LaserComb. Conversely, once the usage stops, the appearance of the hair does gradually regress back to its original state. Like brushing your teeth to maintain healthy teeth and gums, regular LaserComb usage is recommend to keep your hair looking its best. As few as three times a week for 10 to 15 minutes a session is sufficient to see results.

HairMax encourages the glide method for the best results.
How to use the LaserComb
The LaserComb has been designed with both comfort and convenience in mind. To turn on the LaserComb, press the power button and then the laser button on the front of the unit. Next, place the LaserComb flat on your head using the two rows of teeth. Rather than constantly moving the device through your hair (as you would with a regular brush or comb), you should use a glide method by placing the LaserComb on a specific spot on your head and gently gliding it back about 0.5-inches each time the audible four-second beep occurs. Move from the front of your hairline to the back of your head, then repeat the process moving in the opposite direction. The glide method is the best way to ensure that the LaserComb will be as effective as possible. In addition to being very easy to operate, this device is also a relaxing and enjoyable product to use. There are no sprays, topical ointments, or powders to worry about, and it can be used in the comfort of your own home at your own convenience.

Proven Technology: Laser PhotoTherapy
For many years leading hair clinics and salons in Europe, Asia and around the world have been using Laser PhotoTherapy -- a form of laser technology also referred to as Low Level Laser Therapy -- to improve the appearance of thinning hair. Over and over individuals suffering from thin, lifeless hair have achieved great results with this form of therapy, but until just recently Laser PhotoTherapy was only available through exclusive hair clinics. These clinics rely on large, fixed laser devices, and, to be effective, a patient must attend many regularly scheduled, expensive in-office therapy sessions.

With the HairMax LaserComb, Lexington International has miniaturized the internationally-acclaimed Laser PhotoTherapy technology. Now, with the LaserComb, it is possible to receive this effective hair care treatment in the comfort and privacy of your home, office, or hotel, and at a fraction of the cost charged by hair clinics. The LaserComb utilizes the scientific principle of Photo-Biostimulation that progressively improves the appearance of your hair over time. By harnessing the energizing and nourishing effects of Laser PhotoTherapy, HairMax makes your hair look healthy and vibrant. Remember, living cells thrive in light and your hair is no different.

The Laser PhotoTherapy used in the LaserComb complies with USA laser product safety standards. The laser affects only your hair and you achieve benefits without any worrying side effects. Laser PhotoTherapy gives off no heat and is safe for consumers to use at home. Unlike the high powered lasers used in manufacturing, medical surgeries and science, Laser PhotoTherapy is a gentle, nourishing light therapy that has positive effects on hair. The HairMax LaserComb is safe to be used by itself or in conjunction with other treatments.

Customer Reviews:

  • Hope in a box
For anyone who is losing their hair, this product is intended as a DIY alternative to costly pro laser treatments. The packaging is discreet, and protective of the contents. The product itself is well made. Does it work? Well, I'll reserve judgment for another 30 days, as it takes at least 60 days to see results. ...more info
  • HairMax
I tried the HairMax for about a month but noticed no change in my hair in any way at all. I did not think it was worth continuing and I needed to return for a refund before the time ran out....more info
  • Only Based on Reports
I will buy this product today, but I'd like to base my review on this news:

    NBC Dateline News:

    [...]

Read the next link after 6 months. I suppose it works for people.

I've done quite a lot of reading. It seems like we can be all categorized according to our state of hair loss from our genetic makeup, hygene, environmental issues etc.

So which category you belong to will ultimately help which type of treatment is right for you.

I promise to write back after four months!!!! ...more info

I will not be able to see results from this product for another 4 to 8 weeks. However, your speed of delivery was excellent....more info
  • Great concept but here is what I found.
I had purchased one of these devices back in 2006 it is designed on the scientific basis that lasers regrow hair however finding how simple and common the lasers were in these devices I found I could build a more powerful device with about 10 times as many lasers for about 100 dollars. The lasers are 350 Nano meter that just means they are red and they have the power of a laser pointer so you could build this device for about 100 bucks and a trip to radio shack. Do your homework it is easy other than that great product....more info
  • Overpriced product....
Received the Hairmax and right out of the box it didn't work. Not only was this a dissappointment (considering it cost $500), but the unit itself looks like it's made out of pot metal and made in China. I had to go through the hassle of finding a UPS outlet and spend $15 to mail it back before they would replace it. No offer from Hairmax to pay for the expense of mailing it back or an apology for their ineffiency and lack of quality control for manufacturing. This experience says a whole lot about Hairmax as a company. It doesn't care about its customers and are only in it to make a buck. ...more info
  • I have this comb for over a year.
If you want to buy this comb for regrowth, forget it. It does not regrow any new hair. But it does offer some benefits:
    1) The hair feel thicker.
    2) Very few hair shed during regular use. If you stop using it, hair would shed as before.
    3) The hair feel more manageable.
    4) Combs like these are used by hair-implant patients for faster recovery.
For these simple benefits, the high price of the comb is not worth it....more info
  • works but vision side effects
I used this product for about 2 months now. Previously I have used ScalpMed and rogain (not consistently). I would highly recommend scalpMed because it was quite effect I should say (at least what they told me) but it had a side effect on me that is it was affecting my eyes and vision. I was the first one to report this on their website and then a few people said the same thing too. So although I liked ScalpMed, I could not use because my vision was literally going bad. That means even sitting in front of computer etc and TV you see the notice. The other thing that i did not like about ScalpMed is a bit of mess but I guess if it works, a bit of mess is OK. I then turned to rogain foam and did no really use it regularly. I was mor intersted in my front hairs not the crown.

I must also say that please do not use ScalpMed if your hairs are falling on a regular slow rate or not falling speadily. I have seen a few reviews on another site in which ppl said their hairs loss increased after quiting and their hair loss was not that bad before.

After leavign scalpMed, may be around 5 months after, i experinced speed balding. It was so aggressive that i thought I am goint to be bald in 3 months. I started to see my scalp learly and could indvidually see every hair. Going back to ScalpMed was not a options because of the eye Side effects. I started to research on laser comb and the technology. After reviews and checking video on youtube and other serveys from NBC etc, I decided to try it out. As someone who is loosing hair at alarmng rate, all i would want is stop the hair loss if the grewing does not work.

After using hair max laser ( I order it from ebay though), I notice that if laser beam was not properly aligned. I was quite skeptical of it but i was also thinking if something is selling for 500$+ it must be good atleast to some extent. So here what i found. I turned on my laser, and point the laser beam to the ceiling and i noticed that the laser lights are not uniform. In fact they are most concentration on one side and almost no existant on the other. I was skeptical was it my laser comb or every laser comb is like this. But i stick with it and though i will return it if things don't work at all.

Appling laser is clean and easy. I usally watch tv while comb my hairs with it for 13 min. After using it for first few times, i notice some of my thick hairs fell but after that my hairs almost stopped falling, that is what it seem. If i would shake my hairs in basin with my hand, very few hairs would fall if they would fall at all. So i was very pleased esp that there is no cream or any solution, just 10-15 min laser treatment. I think probably it helped me retain my hairs for a bit longer. I also think it might have increased my density to some extent although I don't have any scientifict study. But I have also noticed that my V is perhaps on increase, although at a slower speed perhaps. I have no problem using this device but my only concern right now is the vision again. It have started to experience the same vision affect as I got from ScalpMed although it is not that bad. I think I might discontinue it for that reason alone if things did not change. But overall I think it was positive experience. One doctor told me, it is bad science. Other doctors esp in hair transplant industry, it is used regularly and is recommended. So I would recommend it. Please do not expect miracles. I lost some of my hairs very recently and it did not seem to regrow that. Also when combing try to move really slow, the 3 sec method. If you go faster, the affect may not be that pronounced at all. I think it still needs more research. I would highly recommend it because it does seem to work. Of course it has side affect for me....more info
  • ridiculous price for a simple laser!!!
Just to make you guys aware, the combs that are being sold have the same wave (length) that simple lasers do. which you can buy for several bucks. With some effort you can make your own laser comb, eventually even better for a lot cheaper, but paying almost 500 USD? there is no rationality to this, get a hairtransplant for 2000 instead and save on electricity :)

  • the best har loss remedy so far
I have been using the comb with revivogen for about 10 weeks, and I am very pleased with the results. The bald spot in the crown is getting smaller, and I can see lots of hair growing along the hairline, some of which have become terminal hairs. I am using the comb all over the scalp and the revivogen only on the crown and the temples. Previously, I used rogaine with mixed results. So here is my conclusion so far: 1. the comb works 2. revivogen probably helps (I will eventually cut it out) 3. rogaine only prevents the folicles from dying, but does not help grow anything. But thanks to rogaine, since the follicle did not die, the comb+revivogen is able to bring them back to full life. I really like the comb. It's a relaxing ritual, and it fluffs up your hair....more info
  • Hairmax Lasercomb
I have not seen any real regrowth with the product.

    1. It appears to slow the loss of hair. Much less shedding.
    2. After a hair transplant -- it GREATLY ACCERATES the healing process. See www.lasercomb.com for pictures. It worked the same for me....more info
  • Some scalp problems
I used the comb regularly for about 3 months and did not see any noticable changes in my hair thickness. Perhaps I needed to use it longer, I don't know.

For me, it caused acne breakouts on my scalp which continued to get worse. As a result it sort of hurt when I used the comb. Finally I stopped using it and in about 4-5 days my scalp cleared up completely.

In general, I have acne prone skin, but I'd never had scalp problems like that before.

Also, for me the comb often gave me a slight headache.

    Questionable product....

  • Didn't work on me
I bought this the summer of 2007 when i was interning and had spare cash. Figured it'd be worth the investment BEEEEEEEEEEEP. yeah total waste of money. I used it regularly (3 times a week) for over 5 months straight and noticed not even the slightest bit of difference. I continued using it once a week after that but am yet to see any results. I still have it lying somewhere. The only reason i gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because it didn't burn my scalp or cause my hair to fall out or smth :)...more info
  • Total Greed
The technology in this product is the same low level laser technology that can be found in a $9.99 laser pointer cat toy, they just spread the beam across a mirror to extend and direct the array across your scalp and add some led's, then they charge over $400 dollars to make you feel like you're buying a high tech gadget, the more it costs, the more you think it's worth, when in actuality it probably cost them under $20 to make this product.

Don't get me wrong, clinical testing and studies show that this product works, save yourself some money and buy the comparable ViaTek HairPro laser brush for $119 on eBay.

  • It seems to be working after 6 months
I'm 33, Asian, my top crown area started to thin about since a year and half ago. Didn't want to go for any chemical drugs because I didn't want to mess up my kidney/body by their side effect. Also the sex drive side effect is very scary. I also looked at Rogaine but I was afraid of the heart-beat side effect because I'm a very devoted soccer player. I just can't stop playing soccer for any reason. So I decided to give this hairmax a try. $550, not very cheap but I can afford it for a chance, why not, right?!

Started using it since March 2008, 3 times/week, 15 minutes each. From April thru mid June my hair GOT WORSE, lost more hair, and the top crown part had a clear 'hole', the horseshoe style. (I kept taking pictures to monitor the results) so i wondered why and did some research on the internet and found that it's called 'shedding' period,it happens to some folks and i was one of the 'lucky' guys, but it was actually a good sign of new hair is about to grow out.. Oh well I had already begun using it so I thought to myself if I stopped there I'd have lost the hair and didn't have a chance to get anything back.

So I kept using it. From mid July til now, mid Sept, I'd say that it clearly shows good re-grow of the hair, the crown hair has thicken and I could see many baby hair were there too. Very thrilled about the result, didn't think it actually works!! I'll keep using it until my comb dies, then I'll buy another one! Another tip is sulfate free shampoo, I highly recommend you guys start using sulfate free shampoo, just use any brand, doesn't matter. Sulfate really kills your hair.

Oh one thing I forgot to mention is that hairmax also made my hair looks healthy from day-one, that was also one of the reasons why i kept using it even the shedding occurred.

So the conclusion is, it took about 6 months for the hairmax comb to work on me, so if yours doesn't seem to work for you in the first 2-3 months, or even 5,6 months, KEEP USING IT. THe result wasn't crazily good like the before/after pictures shown on their website, but it is certainly good enough to keep me a happy customer and I'll certainly keep using it! ...more info
  • FDA Cleared not FDA approved.
The HairMax Laser Comb was FDA cleared, they promote the comb as if the FDA tested it for trials, it was only for safety, with hair loss and any treatment safety is an issue, but above all we want something that works! Please do not be misled by FDA approval they know 99% of people just look at FDA approval and figure " hey it has to work", please save your money, there were many lasers before this hence why anyone can get FDA approval (The same sort of lasers have already proven to be SAFE) again safety matters but if you are going to blow all this cash you can get one on ebay or any hair loss site for less than $100, please use real FDA APPROVED hair loss treatments that being Rogaine Liquid/FOAM and Propecia, please remember this product is NOT fda approved only fda cleared meaning the lasers will not cause harm to you, but you can get that anywhere. Please go with Rogaine and Propecia, This Hairmax COMB has been on hair loss boards for years and NOT ONE person had a positive review of it. The studies done on women have NOT been published yet, this is directly from their website, and the one done on men is very minor and the photos are a joke, hair is not even the same color in the photos! Please save your cash, you can get a whole year of Propecia/Rogaine for less than this, and it is PROVEN, FDA APPROVED not just " FDA Cleared".

    God bless!...more info
