Stimulates Baby's Vision and Auditory Skills
When babies are first born, they see in black and white. This is why the Musical Inchworm strikes a balance between bright, high contrast patterns that help stimulate baby's vision, and bold solid colors that give baby's eyes a place to rest. Sounds like rattle, squeak, crinkle, and jingle also help stimulate and develop baby's auditory skills. Finally, the Musical Inchworm's large, friendly eyes invite baby to focus and stare at a single object, which can help calm baby while supporting healthy eye development.

Child-Safe Design
With its soft velour body and interesting textures to touch and chew, the Musical Inchworm is an ideal play and rest-time companion, whether baby is at home in his crib or traveling in the car. Safe and easy for little hands to hold and investigate, this toy also features an underside that measures your baby up to 24 inches. It even plays the song "If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands" when hugged. Perhaps the most rewarding feature of the Musical Inchworm's design, however, is the bonding opportunities it offers. In fact, this toy is perfect for an interactive game of peek-a-boo--simply hide the inchworm's head underneath a blanket and then show the baby the inchworm as you say "peek-a-boo!"

The Inchworm measures .50 x 24.0 x 2.75 inches (WxHxD), weighs 0.40 pounds and comes with a 90 day limited warranty.

  • inch worm
my son likes to chew the little legs, but is not all that into cuddling it. It seems to be great for propping them up under the arms while on their belly. he likes the crinkly noise. Does not play music, wish that it did. Only has very brief music when push the head. ...more info
  • So cool
This inchworm is bright, fun, and my daughter loves it. It makes all sorts of different sounds, and the "head" plays music, which cracks her up. You can also measure your little one with the underside...my baby is bigger than the inchworm now, but it was fun to see her growth with this toy. Lamaze toys are the best. ...more info
  • My son loves this toy
My son just loves this inchworm. It has all sorts of different sounds and textures for him. It has ties for him to suck on. He smiles when I turn the music on. He even hugs it. This is a great toy and is easy to take places. Its a great quiet toy....more info
  • Not so musical Inchworm.
It's a cute toy though it shouldn't be advertised as a "Musical Inchworm" because the music is not very impressive. The music is similar to that of low-quality greeting card. It's very quiet and tinny, and only turns on when the nose is pressed. The various segments of the inchworm has different senses inside, only one of them actually plays music....more info
  • Cool toy!
When our baby was first born it was fun to take pictures of him next to this inchworm because he was shorter than it. Now, at 5 months, he is longer than the inchworm and loves to roll over and "wrestle" with it. He is currently entertained by the various textures and fabrics on the inchworm, and I anticipate this being a toy that grows with him as he learns to make the music play, press the squeeky part, and learn his colors, numbers, and the measurement system! A very cool learning & development toy!...more info
  • BORING
We played with this toy some. All the different noices and rattles, I guess, are supposed to be educational, I don't see much value in it from educational standpoint. OK, the inchworm parts make different sounds, but why? They all look the same other than the color variation which has nothing to do with the sounds. And the music is cute hence the two stars, but it is only one song and soon becomes boring. Impossible for a baby, even young toddler to turn it on. I eventually tought my son to whack it on the floor hard to turn the music on. Not too good solution. I do NOT recommend this toy, unless you get it given. It does some, but not worth the money to my opinion....more info
  • Almost Perfect
My 3 month old loves this toy. He chews on the little legs and loves the different sounds each piece makes but I just wish that the song that plays when you squeeze the head played longer. I find myself constantly stopping tasks to squeeze the head for him. Overall he truly enjoys the toy....more info
  • Decent.
Lamaze products are amazing because they are so cute and colorful. The problem? They all seem to do the same thing. We received this as a gift and while its cute and cuddly its not a favorite. Like another person posted it can nicely be used to prop a child up for tummy time...and could be cute to take pictures of next to. But...we got two inchworms...and the other one we got the pieces actually come apart so you can connect the inchworm together & it sings. And while connecting the pieces is harder for a newborn to do (ok impossible!) it definitely grows with the child! My 2.5 year old is entertained by it and allows the two kids to play together...so...nix this worm and go look for the other one!...more info
  • Developemental Toys
This musical inchworm is excellent for my newborn baby. I was looking for developemental toys that have different texture and lots of different colors and this is perfect. I also purchased the Puppytunes and Jacque the Peacock. I love all the Lamaze products....more info
  • Good entertainment for Baby
This is a really cute and well made item. Bright, colourful and makes noise. The tune is short enough that it isn't totally irritating. The measurement side is irrevelant for us as our son was longer than the inchworm at 8 weeks (Hes going to be very tall!) It is a shame that it doesn't have a long clip or hook so that it can be clipped to a pushchair(Stroller) and not fall on to the floor. Good value for money....more info
  • Inchworm
I bought the inchworm for my niece as a Christmas gift. At the time, she was 1.5 months. She absolutely loved it and out of all the gifts she received, this was definitely the most safe. Now that her motor skills are improving at 4 months, she plays with it often. This is a wonderful item and is highly recommended for newborns and children under 1 year. ...more info
  • Lots of fun!
My 2 1/2 month old loves this toy! It's the first one that has managed to entertain her for more than a just few minutes. We definitely recommend :) ...more info
