  • loved this product!
I love this bouncer! After my daughter was born she was pretty fussy the first three months due to digestive problems. The vibrate feature really helped soothe her tummy, and it was a needed break after pacing the floor for hours! As she got older she just had tons of fun bouncing in it and even learned how to pull the flower to make it sing; she was so pleased :)...more info
  • No regrets
My baby really likes this chair and I can live with the colors and design. I love the swing-away activity bar--that's what made me choose this model over others, and it's a really great feature. Easy to get baby in and out, and toys go to the side when he's overstimulated. Vibration is good, but music/sound features quickly become annoying.

The only thing I don't like is that it's not really a "bouncer"--baby can't make it bounce or rock on his own. At least not yet. Maybe when he's bigger. But we still love the chair....more info
  • Adorable!
My nephew loves this thing! He lights up when it's on. It requires several size D batteries, but it sure is useful when trying to entertain him!...more info
  • Cute & my baby likes it (recom 2 mo +)
We own 2 different bouncy seats. Both are Fisher Price - the Itsy Bitsy Bouncer & Soothe N' Play Safari Bouncer.

To quickly compare the two: the spider bouncer seemed uncomfortable for our son until around 8 weeks old. It is much larger & sits very upright - which is great now for after feedings. It is also more substantial than the Safari one - and has less spring in the seat. Although he's still rather uninterested in the toy bar (I almost always leave it removed from seat) I'm sure he'll be intrigued by it soon enough. The music is really cute & not as annoying as most - even my husband agreed. The vibration is much stronger on this seat - it rattled all of the plastic parts until the baby was about 11 lbs and weighted it down better.

I've found that having both seats is handy. We keep one upstairs & the other down. If I had to pick just one for the early weeks of a newborn, the Safari sure helped our lil one sleep & take naps. The seat has plenty of "give" and that's just what was needed to gently rock our wriggling lil guy back to sleep when he stirred. The vibration is nice - although I never leave it on for more than 10 minutes or so at a time. The Safari seat also looks really nice in photos. I seem to take a lot of pics in the seats - and the neutral backdrop works great!...more info
  • Helped When My Son Couldn't Sleep
I really like this bouncer. When my son was having a difficult time sleeping in his bassinet, I would just put him in the bouncer and he'd fall right asleep. I know almost everything had to do with the vibrating motion feature. This was a real life saver for a Mom who had to deal with a one month old infant who wasn't sleeping much. The only thing I don't like about it is that you sometimes have to keep shifting the on/off button back and forth in order for it to go on, even after you put in new batteries. Other than that, I have no complaints. I'd recommend it. ...more info
  • Very best bouncer
I registered for many expensive infant seats, swings, pods, and bouncers, and received all of them as gifts. They were all fine for sitting the baby in when she was awake, but none of them were very good at putting her to sleep. This little bouncer puts her to sleep almost every time. I don't use the vibrating feature--I bounce it with my foot, which is really easy given the structure of the bouncer. It works so well that I bought another one to keep upstairs. And I'm going to buy another to take to her daycare....more info
  • cute but the quality is not so good
looks cute, the cusion is nice, toys are ok, was a pain putting it together, but all the joints seem very loose, had to improvise and add a few extra screws myself. Guess that's what you get for the money. Haven't used it yet, the baby will be here in two months, we used Baby Bjorn with my first son, he loved it, I got this one just to have something in the ustairs bathroom while I shower, but I wouldn't use it for more than that....more info
  • A lifesaver!
This chair is a lifesaver for a cranky baby! My son is three months old and loves this seat! Easy to assemble, easy to remove for washing, batteries last a long time. We just started using the toys and music a few weeks ago and my son loves them. ...more info
  • LIFE SAVER
I received this bouncer as a shower gift after I already bought the graco bouncer that matched my car seat. I almost retured it but i'm so glad i didn't. My son hates the graco one that folds up and is portable. I think it sits up to high. This bouncer is perfect as a newborn he loved the vibrations and the angle was perfect for him to be comfortable. Now that he's 8 weeks he loves the music and he especially loves watching the sun and bumble bee light up. He gets so happy every time i put him in it. And the songs are really cute plus it has 2 volume setting so you can turn it down when you start to get sick of the noise....more info
  • A must have
This bouncer is simply great, the one item I would definitely recommend to new moms. Ok, it's VERY pink and the toys could be better, but it still saved me many times. It was about the only place where my daughter would stay quiet, other than in my arms. I've used it since we came home from the hospital, and now it's starting to look a bit too small for her (she's 5 months now).

With the arch on it's a bit difficult to put her in, as the handle hangs very low, but it's no big deal and it can't be designed differently as the child has to reach it after all!
The vibrating unit should be lower, or padded, as it's right under baby's heels and kicking it can cause some soreness.

Anyway, we love it and we'll definitely buy a similar non-pink one if next baby is a boy! ...more info
  • Cute design and affordable!
Unlike most bouncers and swings, I actually love the design on this bouncer! The vibration is soothing for my son and he loves the three toys whom I've nicknamed his "three amigos". He will sit there and coo and giggle at them. He isn't old enough to pull the handle on the frog but I'm sure he'll love it when he can. It's light so I move it from room to room frequently for when I need a shower or am cooking. I also love that the footprint on this thing is so small since we have so little space. Most bang for the buck!...more info
  • LOVE IT!
My daugther loves this product. It is very easy to put together. I put it together in under 20 minutes with the baby and my two yr old right by me so there were plenty of distractions. It doesnt sit up to high or to low, it is just right for a little baby. The toys are fun for her to grab at. The vibrating isn't to hard like some of the other ones. The every once in a while sleeps in it, so it is apparently comfortable. I also like the way the head support comes off when the baby doesnt need it anymore. The strap that hold the support velcros to the back underside so it doesnt just hang there like another one that I have. Overall it is a great product and I would reccomennd it....more info
  • Baby Shower Gift
I purchased the Itsy Bitsy Bouncer as part of a baby shower gift for a friend. I decided to shop on Amazon because the price was much cheaper than where she had originally registered for it. The bouncer came in record time which was great because we needed to have it for the shower. Overall, I was happy with the prompt shipping and price....more info

  • My Son's Absolute Favorite!!
Oh my gosh! This has been my son's absolute favorite toy/chair. We also have a rainforest one which is pretty boring. We got this chair because we needed a second one but it soon became the only one we used. From the moment he first saw the doggy, my son's whole face lit up!! He's had so many laughs with this chair. We would also use the chair (and remove the activity piece) to watch the baby einstein videos. Now that he's 9 months old (and 27 lbs)he likes to stand next to it and play with the toys. This has been the best!! Highly recommend it. It has fun songs, lights and wiggly dog heads plus vibration....more info
  • He Loves it!!!
As a first time Mom I was hesitant to put this on my registry. I thought it was too loud to be in my house. My friend insison and I am SOOO glad I did. y son has this toy since he was a few weeks old. At 6 months old and 18lbs, he still fits in it (although he sometimes twists his body because he is more mobile than before, but I just make sure to watch him when he is in it). He even looks at it from across the room and laughs at it. If you get this item, you will never regret it!...more info
  • Not really a bouncer, but good chair
I bought this product to replace a worn out bouncer. The chair is quality made, doesn't feel cheap, and my little guy is quite comfortable in it. The vibrations are nice for him, not too strong. The swing out toy bar is wonderful and is the reason I chose this bouncer over the other bouncers.

The only negative I have to say about this bouncer is that it doesn't bounce... And it takes the full weight of my adult hand to make it rock, and when I do rock it, its not the smooth fluid motion you get with most bouncers. It's kind of jerky, it's only as smooth as my hand motion can make it.

It's a good chair. When he starts solids, I'll use it to feed him. It's a comfortable chair, I let him nap in it sometimes... But this product should not be considered a bouncer; it does not bounce....more info
  • You may want to "think again" on purchasing this "think pink" bouncer
We received this bouncer as a gift for our 3rd child - finally a girl! While it is definitely pink and girly, it is lacking in other areas.

First, it is not very comfortable or cushiony for the baby. The only part that is cushiony is the cushion head rest. The seat is just too deep for newborns. We used this from day one with our baby and even when buckled in, she would fall to one side or another when we'd place her in it. Her face would be pressed up again the sides. We tried this with and without the headrest, but it didn't seem to matter either way. She is now 8 weeks old and is finally able to center herself so she won't slide to the sides.

Second, the musical flower on the toy bar is terrible! It is made of hard plastic (we're constantly trying to avoid hitting her head on it). The song that it plays is very annoying and digital sounding. It also doesn't play for very long (just a matter of seconds), though maybe that's not such a bad thing since it isn't very pleasant sounding. I just wish they had put several songs on it and had it last longer. Personally, I would have rather the music options been a button at the bottom with the vibration and the flower to light up when pulled, but I don't work for FP and they didn't ask me. :) The two little crinkly ladybugs are cute and my daughter is starting to smile at them when she sees them. I like that they are velcroed on, so they can be changed up with other velcro toys from other play sets you might have. Unfortunatley, the plastic flower cannot be removed.

Third, the toy bar is stabilized (though it can be removed), it doesn't fold back like some other bouncy seats do. It is a little of a nuisance to have to remove the toy bar (and find a spot to put it) each time you need to get the baby in or out of the seat. If you are like me, you don't bother taking it off and will just slide the baby in and out from the top or the bottom. Watch out for baby's head, though, and that awful plastic flower!

Overall, I was rather disappointed with this bouncy seat. While it may be better for older babies, if you are planning on using this for a newborn then you may want to consider another brand....more info
  • Well made
There were two main reasons we got this bouncy chair: the position of the controls and the security of the toy bar. There are some minor things that we don't like about it (the low volume is a bit loud and a kicking baby keeps the music playing constantly), but it is very well made and worth the purchase.

    First, the pros...
Many other models had vibration and sound control buttons on the top of the chair, but this one has a single switch on the front. We liked this because we thought our boy could kick the controls and turn up the volume or something. This turned out to be a good idea since he kicks in the chair a lot.

The toy bar snaps on securely with a tab on each side, and you have to use both hands to remove it. Also, you can't attach it incorrectly, because one end is circular and the other is square.

Continuing with good design, we have found the chair to be well made. It is sturdy, which is good when you have a house full of baby contraptions. Also, it bounces easily - you can make it bounce with two fingers.

    Now the cons...
We have a baby who loves to kick in this. When he does, it makes the cat and the bunny constantly swing back and forth. This makes the music play constantly. Fortunately, the music isn't too annoying (you can turn off the singing).

While you can turn off the singing, the volume has only two settings. The low setting is just loud enough to distract me from a conversation. It would have been nice if there was a mute setting that would still make the lights blink.

Lastly, the cat and bunny are a bit out of reach for our son. He was born 21 inches long in May, and he can barely reach them today. This is probably why he kicks in the chair so much - he may have learned it was the only way to activate the music.

    Even with it's shortcomings, I think it's a good bouncy chair....more info

  • A fun bouncy seat
We needed a 2nd bouncy seat and went down the line several stores waiting for our daughter to light up when she sat in the right chair. This was the one. As soon as I sat her in it, her little face lit up and she giggled. However, since buying it, she gets bored and frustrated with it very quickly. I think she gets tired of hearing the songs. She likes to watch the dog shake and the lights blink but I think she gets aggitated after listing to the sounds over and over. The cat and the bunny are still out of her reach. I also use it as a feeding chair by taking the toy bar off and laying a towel over it. She seems to like it just as much without the toy bar on too. It reclines her just enough but not too much. I gave it 3 stars because I think it's overpriced and it needs a mute switch so the lights can still work without the songs...it's not a good sign when the baby gets annoyed by the sounds too....more info
  • Lots of Fun!
My son LOVES this bouncer. He just started doing a lot of kicking, and it was perfect timing for a bouncer. He loves to watch the lights and hear the music. When they stop, he kicks to make it start again, and then laughs and smiles because he did it. He "talks" to the critters and has so much fun. The vibrating seat is a nice touch.

We'd almost bought a more simple bouncer that didn't do lights or sounds. I'm so glad we waited and found this one. He is such a happy baby and I don't feel so bad getting online for a few minutes or having mommy time....more info
  • Fisher-Price Rocking Baby Bouncer
After reviewing several bouncers on-line, I purchased this one for my grandson. What an excellent choice. The design makes it extremely easy to get him in and out and he enjoyed it very much. It allowed me to get a lot done when he was at my house. One he started eating from a spoon, I used it to feed him until I got a high chair. The product is well made and was an extremely good buy for the price....more info
  • Lifesaver
This bouncer was a lifesaver. Our baby always loved it, great soother and wonderful for when we were eating. Not too bad to assemble, and pretty easy on batteries overall or just needed a few moments. We even let her sleep at night in this when she having issues in the crib. We also had the papasan, but it's not too portable, so we would also take this on trips. Someone bought us the Boppy swing, our baby liked this much better, and easier to get her in and out, probably just preference. Definately recommend this for any new parents, can't beat it for price and function....more info
