Customer Reviews:

  • Fine Magzine
Interesting magazine. The page layout is sometimes annoying and difficult to follow. Content is entertaining....more info
  • To smelly 4 me..
I have sensitivities to perfumes and such. They always have a sample of some kind of cologne or something like that. They should be more considerate than to bomb you with these disgusting smells when you have allergies to them. Even when you tear out the mess, the whole magazine smells and it gets all over everything. Have an unscented version. But it's too late anyway. They burned this bridge by NOT thinking of it before I got sick from it....more info
  • There are some good things but not as good as it used to be
I'm a photographer so I like to look at the pictures. Sometimes you get some great articles but often they are boring.
Still, for the price, you could do worse.
What kind of review is this?
It is the kind of review you get when the writer has a cold....more info
  • Not bad for value, but...
The content can be a little lacking and buried behind pages and pages of ads. But for the price, what can you expect?...more info
  • For rich secret agents that like really cheap magazines
Each issue of Esquire is like this: 30 pages of ads for expensive clothing, cars, cologne, and stuff like that before you even get to the table of contents. Then, in no particular order, you have an article about a celebrity you have absolutely no interest in, a feature about some clothing company or gadgets or something like that that you think is a really long ad (but isn't. Well, not officially.), a pictorial of some female celebrity you have never heard of, and one or two readable articles (these usually come in the form of short fiction or humor). Oh, and a lot more ads.

If you're thinking about subscribing to this because it's cheap and you just want something to read on the toilet or whatever, don't do that to yourself. Just subscribe to Mental Floss. If you want to have forgettable pop culture rammed down your throat and ads for all the latest gadgets and clothing so you can buy all that stuff so then when people come over to your swingin' secret agent pad they can look at your stuff and go "Damn, this guy's as cool as the people in magazine ads," then you should totally subscribe to this....more info
  • My review
I was a little disappointed on how long it took for me to recieve my first issue. Now with another magazine that ordered at the same time Ive recieved 3 issues to your one...more info
  • Good magazine but
80+% of it is nothing but ads. To me it's not worth it. If there were this many ads in any other media no one would view it. ...more info
  • A good read
Esquire is usually the magazine I pick up and read when I am waiting to get my hair cut or sitting at an airport. The articles are interesting and often humorous. I enjoy the sections on men's fashion. Esquire is definitely the best of the men's magazines....more info

  • Great Mag
I've been a reader for 10 years now. It's got a little bit of everything in it. Something every guy can read....more info
  • Woman's Point of View
In my opinion, it's one of the best magazines in the market. I read it from cover to cover. It's not just ads and pretty pictures of semi-gods. There are actually interesting articles with great sense of humor. I wonder why they make better clothing and better magazines for men and women get stuck wearing high heels. ...more info
  • Ordering from Amazon....
For Christmas, I ordered my hubby a subscription to Esquire through Amazon and got a years subscription for only $3 because of the magazine special that was being featured at the time. What a deal!...more info
  • I have enjoyed this magazine for years
I first subscribed to Esquire five years ago as part of a package subscription that got me Esquire, FHM, Maxim, and Stuff for a ONE LOW PRICE!!!. After a few issues of the other magazines, they became nothing more than an annoyance, and I would frequently throw them in the recycling bin before even reading through them. Esquire, however, made a subscriber out of me. The magazine is funny throughout. They do a great job of writing in a very specific, dryly amusing tone that permeates all the articles and makes everything a joy to read. They have many regular features I look forward to, but I also am consistently impressed with the top notch choice of topics their feature articles cover, and the writing within them. My only complaint would be that I would like to see more fiction. When they do publish fiction, it is always of quality, and it makes the dry spells that much harder to endure.

As another endorsement, I would also like to mention that I literally have never had someone over at my house who has not enjoyed reading Esquire. Friends, girlfriends, party-goers, parents, siblings, and even one time a cable internet installation guy. Everyone loves Esquire. I highly recommend this publication....more info
  • Only for the obnoxiously vain
I really hate magazines like this that have more advertisements for 800.00 shoes than they do actual articles on anything remotely interesting. I subscribed for a year but I hardly even crack the pages open when it comes in the mail now. Is anybody really as vain as the editors seem to assume that we are? I think you might like this magazine if you are a money hungry elitist who abandoned your kids in the pursuit of a bigger office and a nicer car. IF you are interseted in which 10,000 dollar watch best fits your summer wardrobe then this magazine is for you. ...more info
  • Among My Favorite Magazines...
I recently "trimmed" my magazine purchases...down to two: Esquire and GQ. I put them both in a similar category: interesting articles, often irreverent...informative and entertaining. Of the half dozen magazines that were delivered to me in the past year, only these two were opened as soon as they arrived...the others would just lie there for days or more. I highly recommend Esquire...to any man with an interest in all things masculine....more info
  • disappointed
Esquire used to be a kick for me, but after subscribing I remembered why I canceled a few years ago. This magazine is a little too full of girlie-man models and suck-up interviews with the cool guys. To boot, I ordered the magazine in March and on the 2nd of April received the March and April issues together--a cost-cutting measure I'm sure. Very disappointing....more info
  • Class Act
The older I get, the more I appreciate this magazine. It's for real men and the recommendations keep me dressing, as well as smelling, great thanks to the clothing and cologne ads....more info
  • Great magazine
This is a magazine I never thought of picking up. Well since it was a great deal, I gave it a try. This is an excellent one not only for myself, but my husband. All articles are excellent for both men and women. Highly recommend!...more info
  • Good Magazine
This is one of the best magazines out there. The articles and advice are good. I really enjoy the jokes and the 10 Things You Don't Know About Women features every month.
