Customer Reviews:

  • Not a giant picture book
This magazine is way better than GQ simply because you aren't paying for a giant picture book. I enjoy a magazine that has articles and isn't saturated with ads....more info
  • Great
This is a great magazine for guys like myself that want to find ways to constintly look great....more info
  • Only for the obnoxiously vain
I really hate magazines like this that have more advertisements for 800.00 shoes than they do actual articles on anything remotely interesting. I subscribed for a year but I hardly even crack the pages open when it comes in the mail now. Is anybody really as vain as the editors seem to assume that we are? I think you might like this magazine if you are a money hungry elitist who abandoned your kids in the pursuit of a bigger office and a nicer car. IF you are interseted in which 10,000 dollar watch best fits your summer wardrobe then this magazine is for you. ...more info
  • Magazine
It is not what I like to read, not my kind of magazine to read. Guess I need to review at store before I buy any other magazines. Everyone should review the magazines at store before order any. ...more info
  • Esquire should be Required
I'm unsure why I had not found out about Esquire earlier. It's a great magazine all around. From fantastic articles about things you normally wouldn't see in stuff like People, or even Time. Also included are stories about some of the best actors and icons in American entertainment. They may not be responsible for world changes, but they're important in their own respect. Much like Playboy, some of the best fiction writen can be found between the covers of Esquire. This magazine has tidbits of information to help the normal man survive in the real world. It gives tips on how to make first impressions on the most improtant people you may encounter. Overall, it's a great magazine whether you're looking for helpful hints, interesting reads, great stories, or just plain fun....more info
  • Good product
I like Esquire. Nothing has really changed about it since I ordered it through Amazon. I knew what I was getting and I got it. I thought Amazon's ordering was a little slow, but overall it was okay....more info
  • The best men's mag, period.
I've been a subscriber for several years and look forward to ESQUIRE'S arrival every month. Every month there's smart writing, great profiles and an irreverent tone. If you're a stylish dude (and have a fat wallet) you'll get even more out of ESQUIRE'S monthly fashion advice; the rest of us can just dream...

In short, at these subscription rates you really cannot go wrong....more info
  • To smelly 4 me..
I have sensitivities to perfumes and such. They always have a sample of some kind of cologne or something like that. They should be more considerate than to bomb you with these disgusting smells when you have allergies to them. Even when you tear out the mess, the whole magazine smells and it gets all over everything. Have an unscented version. But it's too late anyway. They burned this bridge by NOT thinking of it before I got sick from it....more info
  • Better than I expected
I had never read an Esquire magazine before subscribing, but it looked interesting and with the subscription special (it only cost $4), I decided to try it out. I'm more impressed with the content than I am in most men's magazines and I'm enjoying it so far....more info
  • A Deal at $3.00 a year!
Entertaining Magazine and good waiting room material! You don't mind waiting if they have this magazine on hand. ...more info
  • Pleasent Surprise
I bought this as a substitiute for a Vanity Fair & GQ subscriptions that had ended. I like the editorial aspects much better. I also look forward to certin sections each month. I will resuscribe when the time comes....more info
  • Esquire is awesome!
I am a 41 year old single white female who subscribes to Esquire and wouldn't have it any other way. Seeing a new shiny Esquire in my mailbox is the highlight of the month. The articles are interesting, well-written, diverse, and cover everything from the serious to the humorous to the artsy--fashion, food, women, travel, politics, the arts, history (especially its own), you name it. Esquire may like to toot its own horn more than other magazines, but it respects its 75 year history of making "a better man" and making the world better for them and their better halves. It is a substantial magazine and takes a good part of a month to get through. This is worth every penny, especially for a subscription. You could spend a year's subscription to Esquire in less than a month of Newsweek on the newsstand. Subscribe to Esquire--I don't care if you're male, female, young, old, democrat, republican, white, black, purple, orange, married, single, rich, poor--there is something for everyone. Make a better impression--read Esquire in public so people will think you care about yourself and the world around you, and follow its advice to show that you do....more info
  • Ordering from Amazon....
For Christmas, I ordered my hubby a subscription to Esquire through Amazon and got a years subscription for only $3 because of the magazine special that was being featured at the time. What a deal!...more info
  • Awesome magazine
This is a really well-written magazine, with very interesting articles and great information on style. I would recommend it for the articles alone though!...more info
  • Is This Wired or Esquire?
Being a mature reader (age-wise) I was a little disappointed to see the tiny print and attention-deficit coverage in the articles. It isn't the Esquire of old now with shallow topic coverage, nineteen items per page and form (visual style) over content.

And the print size of this review is larger than the font in the magazine.

It's no wonder it costs less than the postage....more info
  • Watch out for back issues
Price is great, but...Instead of the most current issue arriving first, I received back issues more than 2 months after they hit the news stands. If this counts towards my 12 issues, I will not renew. ...more info
  • The Best Men's Magazine Out There
I've been a regular reader of Esquire for just about 15 years. I'll probably be a reader for another 15. No other men's magazine compares: "GQ" might be twice as thick-full of ads, maybe an interesting article once in a while. "Men's Vogue" just doesn't have any personality that I can determine, where "Esquire" has a very definitive voice, full of character. "Details" is a whole lot of nothing-Maybe a page or two on something that might be interesting if it were developed. I'll not even mention "Maxim". Esquire's got, and has had, the most interesting writers. I consistently read it cover to cover....more info
  • too many adds
I know these fashion mags have a lot of adds, but it seems like I flip through over 20 pages before I find anything to read. If you took the adds out, you problaby wouldn't have much more then a flyer left....more info
  • Great read
I just got my first issue and it was a great read from cover to cover. Highly recommended. ...more info
  • My review
I was a little disappointed on how long it took for me to recieve my first issue. Now with another magazine that ordered at the same time Ive recieved 3 issues to your one...more info
  • Single a documentary film
Esquire is probably the most respected popular mens magazine in the world.Men share many of the issues women face especially social but few publications for men get to the heart of the issues.
If you enjoy this magazine you will almost certainly enjoy "Single a documentary film"..."Single" features a cast of entertaining and thought provoking experts,comics,singer/songwriters,and "real life" people sharing their insights and observations about the complexities of relationships in todays crazy world. ...more info
  • Among My Favorite Magazines...
I recently "trimmed" my magazine purchases...down to two: Esquire and GQ. I put them both in a similar category: interesting articles, often irreverent...informative and entertaining. Of the half dozen magazines that were delivered to me in the past year, only these two were opened as soon as they arrived...the others would just lie there for days or more. I highly recommend Esquire...to any man with an interest in all things masculine....more info
