egyptian magic cream
Amazing results, scars are minimal Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream (4 oz.)
My hand therapy specialist saw the results. My scaring was very minimal, compared to others, who had similar surgeries, I had 6, on my left hand. I rubbed the cream in and kept it moist. A year later, it is hardly visible to the naked eye. I have to look hard to find the scars. Previous surgeries, did not do as well, I didn't use the cream. Had surgery this year, again. Using the cream. It helps for dry skin as well....more info
best night cream ever! I have been using Egyptian magic for the last 4-5? years as my night cream. I am 42 years old and have virtually no wrinkles. I always moisten my face first with a spritz of witch hazel mixed with rose water (I mix together in a mister)then emulsify the egyptian magic in the palm of my hand. It spreads easier all over face and neck. I also like to put it in my hair (small amount) after washing while still wet, then it combs out easily and makes my curls softer and shinier. It works great on dry hair (tiny amount rubbed in palms of hands) as defrizzer and shine booster. I also enjoy it as a hand/cuticle cream and lip balm. you can also use it as a female moisturizer or lubricant. I love that it has no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Remember, honey is naturally antibacterial. I am sold for life! It is expensive at whole foods, but I sometimes see a deal on amazon. just check the shipping charge first...sometimes you may notice a much smaller price only to realize the shipping charge makes it as much as the other "expensive" looking prices. I love this stuff and the jar does last quite a long time. Oh, by the way, I did try to make this at home once and it turned into a blob of sticky mess. I must have put too much bees wax when melting it down. The chemistry must be exact to get the consistancy of the original product. ...more info
Egyptian Magic I have used this product for about a year and I like its results. I like that it is ALL NATURAL and the jar lasts a long time. You can use it on cuts, and other small abrasions. It also helps with reducing the look on scars. It's great to use on your hands at night. It's an all 'round excellent product....more info
Good cream for extremely dry skin I purchased this cream at the suggestion of a friend who has extremely dry skin. It hydrates and protects the skin but it is very oily. I use it only
when my skin feels especially parched....more info
It Really Is Magic! This is my second order for this amazing stuff! I use it on my lips, nails and cuticles, hands, dry areas on my face, elbows, feet, and sometimes as a hair product. Do Not Hesitate To Purchase! When I got my first container, I thought it would be greasy because it looks more like an ointment than a cream. But, it matches the natural lipids in the skin so well, it literally soaks right in and leaves such smooth, soft, and healed skin behind. No scent so can be used by both men and women.
Egyptian Magic Great product to keep the belly moisturized during pregnancy...helps chafed skin and reduces the appearance of stretch marks. Great for ecsema as well. ...more info
Well at least I can say I've tried it. Ok, after all the rave reviews I've read online I finally decided to fork out the $28 bucks PLUS OVER PRICED SHIPPING for this little jar of miracle. A miracle I'm not sure I've seen as of yet. It does make a nice moisturizer but then again so does pure shea butter (much cheaper) and this "pom stuff" I found on ebay. Granted, what I bought on ebay cost nearly as much but I find myself going to it much more often (it really does fade freckles, moles & scars too!). Mainly I use this for a lip balm, it is good for that. Uhem, can we say "bonnie bell"? There are other "natural" beauty sources out there that are far cheaper and/or just plain work better. As of right now I can't say I'd ever buy this stuff again. ...more info
Wonderful Stuff but Pricey! I love the plain list of ingredients in this salve. It's simply olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, bee propolis and love. Yes, it says that on the label. I've heard you can make your own version at home, which is probably true since the ingredients aren't complicated. This stuff does not smell like something you want to eat, but has a sharp natural smell to it instead. It doesn't smell like honey, either. I'm fine with that because this stuff is a great a night time moisturizer for my face. It's too greasy for daytime use as far as I'm concerned. But for night, well, I love the way it sinks in and that there's no worrisome ingredients (I use mostly natural products). I have sensitive, acne-prone combination skin, and this is so good at soothing redness and fading acne scars. It also speeds up the healing of existing blemishes. It's got the texture of a hard lip balm, so if you just drag your fingertips across the top and warm it up in your hands, that's enough product for your face. You have to massage it in, your face will look greasy and all, but it has never caused any break-outs on me. It has literally tons of uses listed on the jar, the only other purpose I've used it with success is as a spot de-frizzer for my hair when it's dry. EM is not good as a lip balm though, just pretty basic, and it does not help with bruises as far as I've experienced. I did have a bad cold awhile back that left me with a red, peeling nose, and this stuff did an incredible job of taking care of it within a couple days. Awesome. I feel that this stuff is overpriced for what it is, a salve made out of mostly household ingredients, but a 4 oz tub will probably last me at least six months. And that's with using it every night. It costs $[...] at Whole Foods, so I'll probably order from amazon.com next time. It's got so many uses that I recommend it and feel it's a great buy and a medicine cabinet staple, especially for people trying to use natural products....more info
Overcharged shipping !!! I believe the product itself is good. BUT !!! The seller charged me with $6.13 for the shipping. The post office charged them only $2.31 so where's the extra $3.82 went to ???...more info
Fantastic Stuff! My boyfriend works at Whole Foods and while browsing the Whole Body section I saw a price tag for a 30.00 jar of skin cream. Automatically I wanted it. Then I saw it was called Egyptian Magic, Ancient Kamitian Secret Magical Cream. Yes Please. "Peace, Divine love, perfect health, internal, eternal wisdom and infinite blessings unto you, precious one." GIMME GIMME GIMME!
I let the boyfriend know, I want this. (But I wasn't going to buy it for myself.)
Months later I had forgotten about it and he kept complaining of my scratching in my sleep due to my excema and came home and surprised me with it! It had been returned with an itty bitty dent from someone's finger with the description of "didn't work" More likely someone's husband looked at her grocery receipt and got upset by the $30 price tag.
So I've been using it on and off for a few weeks now and am very happy. I was nervous to put it on delicate skin for fear of breaking out, so I mostly just used it on my hands and forearms and dry leg spots for a while. Then I tried my lips and was wowed by the softness. Recently I got brave enough to start using it on my chest and neck and no breakouts...So I made the jump and massaged it into my face. It's definitely heavy and kind of gross feeling...but give it a half hour and it absorbs and leaves incredible soft skin behind. For that reason it's definitely not a day cream.
I left it at work one day and a coworker had a blister on her heel and she remarked excitedly how it magically healed up her blister.
OK as moisturizer, nothing for eczema My kids have eczema and this did nothing for that other than as a decent moisturizer. Even then, aquaphor or vaseline works better than this. This cream would be ok as a something between a cream and a lotion, and it has a honey smell....more info
Completely useless product I have seen countless positive reviews for this product and I was looking forward to trying it out. Although I was unimpressed at first use, I wanted to wait to review until I had finished the jar. I thought that perhaps the benefits of the product would grow over time.
The product was greasy (no surprise, and not a problem if it works) and its odor is fairly unpleasant. Not a really big deal, but EM did not help with skin irritation, rashes, or even basic dry skin (elbows, hands & feet). I have no chronic skin issues and I wonder how someone with real skin issues would view this product.
It contains ingredients one can find in countless products in any health food store for a much more reasonable price. It does not even work as a hair pomade. I found it a waste of money....more info
Interesting "Cream" Decided to try this product on my super dry feet. It isn't really a "cream". More like ointment, but it doesn't stay greasy. It really absorbs into the skin and does keep my cuticles and feet in better condition....more info
Fantastic! I bought this cream only having heard of it on TV and I love it! It is the perfect mixture of an oil and a cream. Doesn't leave you oily or too greasy. It's great!...more info
How did I not know about this until now? WOW! It looks like Vaseline, smells faintly of herbal tea, feels like oil but melts into the skin and disappears. It really absorbs right in with no greasy after feel. I have combination/sensitive skin and it really balances everything out. I am VERY picky about what goes on my face, but this stuff is amazing!!! I work in skin care so I have tried everything- I am now a convert. I ran a little through my dry hair too, just to see what it would do, and it totally tames frizz and adds tons of shine. I am truly stumped. As my grandmother jokingly used to say.."how do it know?" This stuff seriously works. ...more info
BUNK! I would have chosen zero stars if that had been an option. This product is bunk! There is no truth whatsoever to it healing bruises or anything else. It looks like vaseline in a jar and has about as much healing power as the same. Do not waste your money on this product like I did. I guess I was a sucker because I wanted it to be true....more info
Seems to have the consistency of a lip balm... After hearing from personal sources that this cream was "wonderful," and would definitely help with my 6 year-old son's skin problem, I went ahead and bought some, despite the hefty price.
My son hates putting lotion on his eczema twice a day. He really liked this product because, as you rub it quickly between your hands, it warms up into an oil form, rather than a cold lotion, and applies to the skin as an oil, which might make it good for a regular massage.
This aspect, however, turned out to be more of a curse than a blessing, as it was then harder to break the habit and go back to cold lotion when it turned out this cream didn't work. We used Egyptian Magic everyday twice a day for a whole week and it had pretty much zero effect on my son's eczema. The smell of this stuff was subjectively not pleasing. It also didn't seem to do much for the perpetually dry skin on the backs of my hands, and made me look shiny, as though I had rubbed suntan oil on them, or as though I was in the process of being preserved for mummification.
I'm including the following information as an aside to those with eczema, because I have found it can be difficult and time-consuming to discover something that actually works. After using and giving up on Egyptian Magic, I found Johnson and Johnson's Baby Lotion with Vitamin E and Aloe. A lotion with Vitamin E and Aloe was recommended by my son's pediatrician. If you have a child with eczema, I would highly recommend using the Johnson's instead of this product. We repeated the same regimen with the Johnson's and noticed a remarkable improvement in the same amount of time. Not to mention, the Johnson's runs about $5 a bottle, and I can buy it at the grocery store....more info
It works well for moisturizing your skin...pimples, eczema, itchy skin..it works! It works for dry skin, pimples,Eczema. Not a over night cure, but it works. Little bit goes a long way. So, $30 jar can last a long time....more info
Love this stuff! I've been using this product for many years- I really appreciate the simplicity and healing properties. It's a terrific lip and dry skin balm. It's fairly thick with an creamy/oily consistency, but it's water soluble and not goopy. I haven't used it for some of the other recommended uses, but I would trust that it could be beneficial for other purposes as well. ...more info
