Customer Reviews:

  • ECO'S Liquid Laundry Detergent
I just wanted to try a detergent that was healthier for you without all the chemicals. I love the scent of lavendar. I have purchased this product twice now & I love it. I use it for my HE washer & you don't have to use very much. It lasts me a long time....more info
  • Good Stuff!
This detergent has a *very* light fragrance (the lavender scent is a pleasant herbal smell not "flowery" at all). The built-in fabric softener softens nominally and it does *not* prevent static cling! After drying, it's hard to smell the lavender fragrance at all. I'd say it's a great laundry detergent, but you'll need a separate fabric softener (especially in winter!)....more info
  • great stuff!
Was a total Tide devotee and was convinced to try Ecos by both a co-worker and my mother. This stuff works great!!!!! You only use a very small amount and it also has a fabric softener so no more Bounty sheets for me either! I have a 6 month old and it even gets out baby food stains. really glad I tried it!...more info
  • THE BEST LAUNDRY DETERGENT!!
This is the BEST laundry detergent I have ever used.
Leaves my clothes smelling so fresh and clean. Truly
you will not be dissapointed!...more info
  • Good idea badly executed
I can't yet comment on how the product works, although it does smell exactly like lavendar essential oil. I was very unhappy when I opened the shipping box and found styrofoam peanuts used as packing material. Really, earth-friendly product shipped with earth-destroying packaging?
At least offering the product in bulk cuts down on shipping material somewhat but still... really disappointing.

  • Works great and Smells good!
I've been using this stuff for months and haven't noticed a difference between the name brand detergents. I use to use Gain and sometimes Tide untill I switched to ECOS. My clothes get just as clean as before, not that I'm getting my clothes really really dirty all the time but even when I do yard work and get mud all over, it works great. I would tell anyone to use this stuff, and the price it great too for a eco friendly product....more info
  • Remember to use less and read label directions
I have been using 7th Generation laundry detergent for years and really like their latest HE version as it cleans well on soiled clothes whereas I only used their old formula on non-soiled "dirty" items like towels and linens. Sam's currently has this 210 ounce bottle for under 13, so I decided to try it. I'm used to using a full 7th's gen. top as my measuring cup, so without reading the bottle label I did the same for Ecos which is about 5-6 times what was required to use for my LG front load washer. My clothes came out clean, but in my efforts to be green I did poorly since I didn't read the directions until I came upon this web page. I also added 7th Gen.'s fabric softener which wasn't necessary either. So read the directions, don't add a fabric softener and be greener than I....more info
  • Works Great!
I purchased this soap locally for 12.00 for one bottle, so the price on Amazon is several dollars cheaper per bottle! I make my own soap for the warm/hot water loads, and I use this for loads using cold water. It cleans just as well as the store brand I was using (Purex) and is easier on the environment and our clothes. It does not leave a residue, although I do have softened water. When I take the clothes out of the dryer (no need for softeners, as there are soy softeners in the product), my clothes just smell clean. Nothing artificial. The soap doesn't bubble and the water doesn't get slippery, but I know it's still working because my clothes come out clean. ...more info
