FRESH AIR AT LAST !! I just purchased this size unit for my bedroom and the first night I used it I slept well and didn't wake up with a headache and my sinuses were not swollen from the air. I am looking at the other sizes of Honeywell for other rooms. I've tried other air purifiers but this HEPA type with 3 speed fans work much better than anything I imagined!! ...more info
Noise like a Jet Engine! I owned 2 Sharper Image Ionic Breeze filters for several years. To be honest I never really noticed a lot of difference in reduction of allergies, or dust in my house. One of my Ionic Breeze filters recently broke, so I went looking to replace it with a Hepa Filter. Based on the size of my house, I bought this unit. I guess I was used to the no noise Ionic Breeze, so I was shocked at the level of noise this unit makes. On it's highest setting, it is seriously like a Jet Engine. TV can not be watched over the noise, and sleeping is out of the question. On the lowest setting the TV needs to be cranked up to be heard, and the noise is still noticeable. I've read reviews of the other Honeywell Tower Filters that say they are much quieter so I'm going to return this one and try one of those....more info
BROKEN! I purchased this item through amazon and received it promptly. However it only worked for about 30 minutes and then it just stopped. My guess is that this company sells reconditioned products! I contacted the compay that I purchased through Allergy Be Gone in Brooklyn NY. I was told to return the item, but when I went to return it they said that the return authorization number was expired (it was only good for 15 days and that is NOT stated on the return form. Very bad company to do buisness with. Now I am stuck with a broken $200.00 unit. Steer clear of this compny as no one there will take your phone calls!!!! Poor product, Poor company!!!...more info
