Customer Reviews:

  • SoyQuick - You have a fan for life.
I am lactose intolerant (grew up a dairy farmer's daughter!) and have been searching for an alternative to milk. I have been buying soymilk in the stores but I just don't like the "beany" taste.

I started searching for a good soymilk machine and came across positive reviews for the SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker 930P. I was intrigued.

SoyQuick has a 90 day guarantee on this product. If you don't love it - throw it in a box and send it back for a full refund. How can you lose?

I have had my machine for about a month and I absolutely love it. I had a problem with the power cord at the beginning. I called the company, talked twice with the very friendly customer service, and a new power cord is on its way - no problem.

The best thing about the SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker 930P is that it is filterless. Cleanup is quick and easy. The machine also comes with a manual filled with wonderful recipes. I am having the best time trying out all the different ones. Rather than spending $3.69 for 36 oz of commercial soymilk at the store, I can make the same amount of tasty homemade soymilk for about 22 cents. If I experiment and make a batch I don't like, I don't feel bad about dumping it. (Though I have yet to find a recipe I don't like)

I have made Oat Soymilk, Black Sesame Soymilk, Grain Cereal Soymilk, Date Soymilk, Cranberry/Date Soymilk, Soy Yogurt made with homemade soymilk, Rice-Soymilk, Vanilla Soymilk and several variations of regular soymilk. Next on my list to try are nut milks and tofu. The sky is the limit!

No more cartons and no more drinking the same boring soymilk from the store. SoyQuick - you have a fan for life.

  • I love the new SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker!
I have been making homemade soymilk for as long as automatic milk makers have been around, and I can honestly say that this new SoyQuick 930P makes the smoothest, best-tasting soymilk I have ever had. Consistently!

I love all the new features. Like the filterless technology; there is no filter cup, I just toss the beans in with the water, put the machine head on, and press start. The transfer jug is really practical with a wire mesh strainer that fits right on top. I just pour the hot soymilk through the strainer into the jug, the pulp stays in the strainer, and so the milk is silky-smooth. I empty the strainer, then flavor and cool the milk in the jug, with the strainer in place. Perfect!

The neat thing for me is that, since I have this new model, I make delicious, firm tofu all the time--several times a week. I cannot remember the last time I bought a block of tofu. The transfer jug and strainer assembly make homemade tofu a simple matter and the cleanup is a snap.

  • Absolutely the best soymilk ever!
I previously used the SDZ5 and really liked it, but had some questions. So I called the company, and they mentioned their brand new model. Hmmm. Should I buy this new one? Okay, I'll give it a try. I mean, why not? This company stands behind their products. I don't know of any other company that will let you try the soymilk maker for 90 days--count it, 3 MONTHS--and refund your money if you're not 100% happy with it. I had nothing to lose. (Soyabella basically told me once I'd opened the box, I had it forever and too bad if I didn't like the way it worked.)

The first batch I made was a disaster, so I called again. They were ready to refund my money immediately, but asked me to try one more batch first, because they couldn't understand the problems I was having (it wouldn't drain through the sieve.) So I did and discovered--Duh!--I'd used the wrong beans! Instead of soybeans, I'd used blackeyed peas! Back to the machine, make it right this time (and make sure my soybeans and blackeyed peas are not side by side on the shelf anymore), and I got perfect soymilk, smooth, creamy, delicious, and easy.

It did give me an idea, though, and I and a friend spent some time experimenting with making bean soup bases, very successfully, I might add. And then we made multigrain milks, nut milks, tofu, ran the gamut, and gave out samples at a recent mini-class we gave to our church's women's organization.

About the only problem I can find with it, is that it no longer has the capability to make raw nut milks. For me, that's not a big deal--I have the SDZ5, too! And ever sensitive to their customers' needs, they're working on another model that will bring back that feature AND use the new technology for making the milk.

The SoyQuick 930P is great. It's quick, and every so easy to clean. The pitcher that comes with it is wonderful for other uses, too. All in all, I recommend the SoyQuick 930P. If you absolutely must have raw nut milks, get the SDZ-5. No other company stands behind their products like Kitchen's Best, and that says it all....more info
  • Terrific soy milk maker - a must have!
OK, so you're committed to your health, have become aware of the benefits of a vegan diet per books such as The China Study, and you need an alternative for cow's milk on your whole grain cereal breakfast. Or, you'd just like a beverage alternative to a glass of milk. You can buy soy milk, oat milk, and rice milk at the grocery or health food store. Or, you can make your own! After all, you're busy creating new and tasty meals to substitute for the animal protein meals you used to eat. You're taking an active part in creating your future and radically increasing the odds of healthy survival. The SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker, model SQ930P, that we recently bought has made the task an easy joy. Soak and husk your beans (Chamber Family Farms are the best tasting we've found), put in the machine, add water, press one button and about 20 minutes later, you've got a few day's worth of great tasting soy milk. Filter out the solids with the supplied filter and you're done. Well, except for a simple and quick clean up. The device works perfectly, is easy to use and maintain, and is just a pleasure to work with to make what can be a central source of nutrition for your family. We can't be more pleased with our SoyQuick. Also bear in mind that this machine can make milk from other grains such as oats or rice, or from nuts. The user manual that comes with the unit has lots of recipes that are really good. Highly recommended - 5 stars!...more info
  • I Love It! Quick, Easy, and Economical!
So I haven't even had this thing for 24 hours and I love it!I jumped right into making a batch of soy milk. Just so happens I like to keep a supply of soaked re-hydrated beans in the fridge ready for the next batch of milk. All you need to do is give them a good rinse, and toss them into the pitcher with the water. Put the top on and push the button for soy milk. (it has 3 count them 3 settings, for Soy, Grains, and Mung beans) 15 minutes later I had soy milk. I just poured the milk through a hand strainer (which comes with the maker) and the milk was done. First thing I noticed is the color and texture of the soy milk was really milky. I love the milk that my SDZ5 made, but WOW! Silk Soy eat your heart out. Add some chopped dates and even more WOW! Well I'm going to be making soy milk more often. Like almost every night now compared to 2 or 3 times a week. I really want to try the Soy Latte. Just add some coffee beans to the mix it says. Well I'm all for trying that. Think I'll do that tomorrow morning for my coffee. Oh and also on my list of to try is making some milk from oats.
Oh, did I mention that this machine is filterless. Really nice, makes for a faster easier clean up. The top starts out looking the same but it has a blender guard that has big holes in it and no bottom. The guard just slips right off everything scrubs up really easy and fast. It was all cleaned up in a matter of minutes. No filter to scrub and make sure it was cleaned good. Just run the milk through the hand strainer that's provided with the machine. You don't even have to worry about another pitcher or container to strain the milk into. It comes with that too! Did I mention that I'm loving this machine. I thought my SDZ5 was the greatest, it figures the only thing that could do better is also made by Soy Quick. I highly recommend that you give this a try....more info
  • Best Soymilk Machine Ever
The new Soyquick 930P is the best soymilk machine yet! I have had soymilk machines since the first were sold and this machine is a leap ahead in ease of use, ease of cleaning, quality of milk and accompanying literature. The biggest plus was the fact that you don't have to fill a cage by using a chute or filling the screen and then fighting to put it back over the blades. All you do is fill it with water, drop the soaked beans in the bottom of the stainless steel base, plug it in and press start! Easy! The mesh filter that is included with the machine does such a great job at screening out the okara (solids) after the process I don't even have to use cheesecloth anymore. Fantastic! Add to all this the fantastic customer service and you can't beat it.
Thank you Soyquick for making it so easy to make great soymilk!...more info
  • Even simpler yet!
The 930P is an awesome step up from the SDZ-5 which we have had for two years and still enjoy.
(See our review)[[ASIN:B000I5UE30 SoyQuick Soy Milk Maker (SDZ-5) - Soy Quick Organic Milk Maker]
For those on a tighter budget the SDZ-4 is the same as the SDZ-5 without the extended waranty
We bought the SDZ-5 as it was on special at the time and we liked the extended warranty.

Having owned both we highly recommend either though we feel the 930P is well worth the extra dollars, especially if you intend to use it a lot.

The Soyquick SQ930P is even simpler to use than the prior model.

The new filter less feature makes set up and clean up even quicker.

This new machine has (3) completely automatic settings, they are for Soymilk, multi-grain (rice & nut milks) & mung bean milk and all work flawlessly.

Just soak the beans, put the water in the pitcher, add the beans, put on the power head, plug it in, select milk option and the rest is automatic, process is complete in just 20 minutes.
Strain the product produced, chill it and it is ready for use.

Makes delicious milk with a smooth texture.

The manual has lots of recipes in it.
Combine soybeans or nuts with dried cranberries, dates, raisins, or coconut BEFORE processing. Or add a variety of flavors, the sky is the limit.

We make tofu and also mayonnaise (flavored) from the tofu.

    Soy-Quick makes milk making fun.

This is one of our most used appliances. We use it and the older model SDZ-5 daily.
We have 4 children at home and are vegan-vegetarians so we make a lot of home made things. What a great kitchen helper. What an awesome milk maker.

    Great warranty.

This machine is visibly and functionally a quality appliance.

  • Absolutely Fabulous!
Soyfoods Cooking for a Positive Menopause
I love the new SoyQuick 930P! The new design eliminates the need for scrubbing a filter, which makes clean-up fast and easy (and I make 2 batches 2 or 3 times a week). The machine is quieter than former SoyQuick models, and, best of all, the new model allows you to use more soybeans than the older models do, so that you can make thicker, creamier soy milk with absolutely no scorching! You can also combine soybeans with grains-- I add some oats for a silky soy milk. The process is so easy now that I will also be making tofu more frequently than I used to.

If you are allergic to soy, the manual is full of recipes for milks using other types of beans, grains, seeds and nuts.

The company is very customer-friendly and responsive to customer's needs, and the 7-year warranty is great!

  • Very Pleased!
Totally satisfied - I would buy this product again.

My biggest issue with a lot of kitchen equipment has been the amount of cleaning time required - it certainly puts me off using my juicer very often. This soymilk maker however, is remarkably easy to clean with it's very few components, as long as you rinse it off right away.

As for the milk itself, I only have the commercial brands to compare it to since this is the first time I have made my own soymilk and I had to get used to the slight 'beaniness' that I was not familiar with but I enjoy it in my coffee, tea, cereal and use it in all my recipes in place of cows milk with no problem.

I found an asian 'cash & carry' type place which sells soybeans by the box and paid approx $1 per pound thus avoiding the costly shipping and making this a very economical way to have fresh soymilk all the time.

  • Best product for vegetarian people
I bought the SoyQuick 930P a few weeks before Christmas and amazed at how easy it is to make soymilk then the taste is so great that I started to introduce it to my friends. To my surprise, they all wanted to buy the product. I order a total of 5 units and send out to relatives and friends as Christmas present. They all love it, they said it's the best present they had for Christmas some even order the product to give to their relatives. I think I started a tiny chain reaction there. Anyway, I think the main reason why people love it so much is because of the wonderful fresh natural taste that they could not buy in any store at any price, next it's how quick and easy it is to make and clean up.

I used to make soy milk myself the tradition way of grinding, cooking and filtering. It's such hard labor and take so long that after a couple times, I gave up and buy soy milk from the store which just do not have the taste at all. I'm so glad I stumble on to this product while surfing on the net and now my friends are thanking me. I wish I found this out sooner but what can I say...

In summary, I love it and highly recommend it! I'm buying 2 more units right now for some friend in Korea since they don't know how to get it from there... This product is going international!...more info
  • Quick and Easy!
Used to make soymilk the old fashion way which took a better part of my Saturday. Definitely alot more stuff to clean up and it is time consuming. You need a blender, cheesecloth for filtering, and a pot to boil the milk. I would have to make large batches since I don't want to repeat this tedious process. Also, was force to finish all the soymilk within a couple of days. Fresh soymilk doesn't last long since there are no preservatives.

With this Soymilk Premier 930p it took fractions of the time. All in one unit and it is very easy to clean. From start to finish (including cleaning) I would say no more than 30mins. It takes 5 minutes to clean up everything. Much easier to clean when it is still hot. Soymilk leaves a sticky residue behind when it is dry / cool.

Definitely recommend this to busy professionals / families on the run. It's great to have fresh hot soymilk in the morning to complement your breakfast....more info
  • My best purchase this year
"I LOVE my new SoyQuick Premier Milk Make 930P!! The name "SOYQUICK" says it all. This machine is quick and wow, the milk is delicious. It does not compare to the commercial milk I was buying. I am blown away and highly recommend it!! My Kids love the nut milk that I make for them for hot chocolate and I use the soymilk in their cereal for breakfast. I am really happy to be able to make so many different types of healthy milks. One of the extra pluses for me is that I have made a "Green" choice by not having to buy tetra-pak milk anymore. For our family this appliance was a perfect fit."...more info

  • Great Machine! Great Soymilk!
I wanted to put in my two cents worth since I've had the experience of using the Soyabella and the Soyquick SDZ-5 and Soyquick premier. I love fresh soymilk and having a soymilk maker is essential to my diet and health. Others who feel that way might like to here what I feel the differences are between these machines.

I bought a soymilk premier because it is the latest technology available and like I said this is an important part of my diet...The ease of clean-up cannot be beat!!!! IF you need raw nut milks you would want to stay with the SDZ-5...but for the higgest quality soy milk with the least frustration for cleanup...think soyquick premier!

As for the Soyabella...I posted a comment already which in short compliments the looks of the machine but not the functionality. I found it very hard to clean and if water gets into any of the THREE electrical units (2 of which are attached to the jug!!!)...you have to wait days to see if it will work again. I did like the milk but the quantity was not a lot and the blades are so dangerously SHARP. Please be careful.

THe SDZ-5 in comparison may not look as elegant but is a much more effecient design. Clean-up is easier. Quantity of milk is larger and the blade is designed to pulverize and thus is not so razor sharp but very functional in extracting milk.

SoyQuick definitely are the best soymilk makers out there! ...more info
  • For the planet and for you
The new SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker 930P is a great improvement on its predecessor, and a gift for people, animals, and the environment. The thing that has held so many people back from making their own soymilk is the inconvenience of having to handle and clean the many parts of the machine. But the Premier Milk Maker 930P is revolutionary, simple, fast and makes great, protein-packed soymilk. I just finished making a batch this evening, adding vanilla and dash of organic sugar (from the enclosed recipes). My family is now looking forward to a delicious bowl of multigrain cereal with fresh soymilk for breakfast - happy in the knowledge that we've prevented one more milk carton from being produced, while making a choice that improves our health, leaves a softer footprint on the planet, and reduces the animal suffering inherent to the dairy industry.

We have been dedicated soymilk drinkers since 2001, and this new machine from SoyQuick just made the choice that much easier for us. Thank you SoyQuick!

  • Finally, A Company That Keeps Their Promises!
I just received my new Milk Maker 2 days ago and all I can say is... WOW! I've ordered a lot of stuff online and have been disappointed many times - not with this purchase though. They said this Milk Maker is easy to use - YES! it is. They said it was easy to clean up - YES! again. They also said it makes great tasting milks and comes with everything you need to make your first batch of soymilk - YES! it sure does.

In fact, I'd say the first batch of soy milk that I made tasted even better than I expected it would. Thank you so much for delivering a quality product that actually does everything you said it would. More companys would do well to follow your example! I would recommend this product to anyone.

  • Makes great simply great milk, simply!
Though I've made nut milks by hand for years, I've never had a soy milk maker before so I have no comparison with using other home milk makers. I have however been drinking commercial soy milk since before the major companies figured out the 180 degree process and got rid of the bitter flavor - so I know what soy milk tastes like when that's done wrong! Urk!

I can say for sure that the 930P does what it should - keeps the soy beans at 180 degrees F for the whole grinding and cooking process. It's easy to set up, a snap to clean (truly takes 2 minutes) and is totally simple to use. It makes soy, rice, nut and mungbean milks perfectly. The soy milk tastes clean and fresh - and like soy beans :D

So many people seem to get a soy milk maker and want the soy milk to taste like what you drink in the store. For that, you have to add what they add to commercial milk: sugar, salt, vanilla, calcium, vitamins A and D, carrageen/guar gum and various other possibilities. I like the straight soy milk, but my kids want something more familiar and I wanted soymilk that I could use as creamer in my tea, so I've been working with various recipes to get as close to their familiar Soy Dream as possible.

    My closest attempt so far:
*1/2 cup soy beans, soaked over night and de-skinned (crush and rub the soybeans, the skins will collect in the water above the beans to remove)
*1/3 cup of millet (this does 2 things - gives that thicker creamier feel and a light sweet taste)

Put these in the Soy Quick and make milk according to the Soymilk setting. When done, strain through the strainer and then strain again through a permanent coffee filter (I really do recommend this second straining - the wire mesh included strainer is great, but anyone used to commercial soymilk expects absolutely no particulate. It's an extra 5 bucks and well worth it.). Now add:

*1/4 cup of brown sugar (we like brown, it may be way too strong for others though)
    *1/2 tsp of salt
    *1/2 tsp vanilla
*(calcium carbonate if you want it - provides calcium, but also gives that heavy creamy after-taste you are familiar with from commercial soy milk)

Stir and let cool. Refrigerate in an air-tight container.

I want to try barley malt as sweetener - I think it would give an even better flavor than brown sugar for the kids :)

I have also made mung bean milk (a nice addition to other milks at about a 1:3 ratio - it has good medicinal qualities), hazelnut milk and almond milk. They all turn out great! I particularly like hazelnut milk and think it makes great smoothies. I would love to try ice cream made from hazelnut milk!

A word to the wise - almond milk is probably the easiest transition for anyone who is used to commercial milks. You don't have to add much of anything to get it tasting like something familiar :)...more info
  • Wonderful machine
The redesign of this machine is excellent! It's easy to use, produces rich, full bodied soy milk. Clean-up, when done correctly, takes about five minutes. The elimination of the strainer basket that the earlier machine had, significantly contributes to a much better tasting milk and ease of cleanning. I would rate customer service somewhere between excellent and outstanding. If you call the company with any problems of any type relating to this machine you get to talk TO something that has a pulse! This company truely cares about thier customers. I have had my soymilk maker for a couple of weeks and it really is wonderful! It is easy to use, clean up is a piece of cake and I absolutely love the way the soymilk taste. The flavor of soymilk I got from my first batch really has me excited to try more. I can't wait to experiment with all of the different recipes in the book that came with my machine. I am so happy that I can finally make milk that has no additives. 100% pure milk!

I would also like to point out that the milk tastes great right to the last drop. I actually drink if before it even has a chance to go bad. The milk I used to buy from the store would go bad before the expiry date and there is nothing more frustrating and awful tasting than sour soymilk (my stomach turns just thinking about it). This has really solved that problem for me. If I had known that great tasting soymilk was this easy to make, I would have jumped on the SoyQuick bandwagon a long time ago.

All I can say is . . . I love it and highly recommend it! If there was a Siskel and Ebert of soymilk makers they would give this machine two thumbs up!
