Customer Reviews:

  • Spry Xylitol is A GREAT Product that Inhibits Cavities!
This is by far the best gum on the market! Spry utilizes Xylitol, a sugar-alcohol that has no carbohydrate action, yet bacteria ingest the Xylitol and cannot metabolize it, thus starving the bacteria! Thus, with consistant use, it rids the mouth of harmful cavity-causing, gum-disease causing bacteria! This is truly a unique gum. One of the few gums that all dentists recommend!

There are two contraindications. The first is for TMJ sufferers. Gum chewing aggravates TMJ's, so this is to be avoided. Another contraindication is for those people who are allergic or intolerant of cinnamon.

This is a great product for the average person, child, adult. Chew one to three pieces a day and your oral health will improve.

  • flavor doesn't last
tastes great for about 10 seconds, really.
Then, it is tasteless. Can't recommend it....more info
  • Overrated
After reading all the great reviews, I was tempted to go out and try some. The flavor was great and minty--for like a minute, if even. It seems to be concentrated only in the outer coating. The inside was just chewy rubber. ...more info
  • spry gum
This product is not worth the price. Flavor is gone within a few minutes....more info
  • Loses flavor too fast
I've tried five flavors of Spry gum: peppermint, spearmint, green tea, fresh fruit, and cinnamon. Spearmint is among my least favorite flavors, beating out only peppermint. It loses its flavor within two minutes. That's not an exaggeration - you get literally two minutes of chewing pleasure. The main reason I prefer it to peppermint is that at least the spearmint goes tasteless, while the peppermint turns bitter.

On the bright side, the gum is flavored with xylitol. Unlike some brands that advertise that they contain xylitol, Spry actually uses it as their only sweetener. Most sugarless gums make me sick, as I can't handle sorbitol and maltitol well. At least I can chew this without having intestinal problems, which makes it worth two stars despite the lack of flavor....more info
  • Great Gum
I have not been someone who liked gum very much, but my dentist recommended xylitol products. I bought several of these and have been enjoying them thoroughly throughout the day. It is very flavorful gum that chews well. Let's hope it helps the gums too!...more info
  • Best Gum
This is my favorite gum. I suffered terribly from aspartame poisoning and it was good to find a gum that I could still chew. Beware consumers - aspartame is in almost all gum - gum does not need to be sugar free to contain aspartame. If you want to have good gum and still be healthy - this is a great gum....more info
  • Too much cinnamon oil -- Caution -- severe allergic reactions
This particular version of Spry gum is actually dangerous to anyone who is allergic to Cinnamon Oil. It contains a lot of Cinnamon Oil, which caused a major allergic reaction in my mouth and throat. My gums, tongue, and cheeks were swollen up for ~36 hours. It was scary because my throat almost closed up completely making it difficult to breathe. This happened on two separate occasions about one week apart. I had to toss the gum in the trash.

There is no warning on the product that Cinnamon Oil is a contact allergen, and could cause anaphylactic shock. There should be a warning on the label and on the websites where it is sold.

I have used SPRY Spearmint gum Spry Spearmint Xylitol Chewing Gum 100 Countwith no adverse affects, but the Cinnamon Oil gum Spry Cinnamon Xylitol Chewing Gum 100 Count is not a safe product....more info
  • Great product!
