Customer Reviews:

  • Ho'oponopono works!
Although I would not say that the writing in this book is top notch and unfortunately found the organization of it to be a bit choppy, what I was able to glean from the information and put into practice in my own life has quickly made a difference for me. I see demonstrations of ho'oponopono daily. Many of them are small but amazing - my dog, who freaks out when other dogs are near and for years has been a pain to take on a walk, now calmly walks on a leash around the neighborhood with me; a doorlock that several people said was stuck suddenly unlocked as I approached it saying "I'm sorry, forgive me, I love you"; the DMV had no line and I was able to complete my business with them in 15 minutes - and everyone that worked there was so nice! A larger demonstration for me was that I was recently offered the job that I have wanted for a long time but have repeatedly been turned down for!
The biggest piece described in this book for me to understand (and I'm still working on it!!) is that we cannot control what happens, but must trust that by cleaning, the correct and balanced thing will manifest. In other words, just because I think that I need a financial windfall to solve a mortgage dilemma I am facing does not mean that by using the mantra described in the book that I will get a big check in the mail. Instead, once I "cleaned" on the problem, solutions were presented that had nothing to do with what I had thought was the only way out of my mess!
Zero Limits, in my opinion, is a great introduction to this concept, easy to read and understand. I forgive Joe Vitale's marketing attempts throughout the book because what he has written in collaboration with Dr. Hew Len, is so valuable. In particular, the end of the book with writings from Dr. Len and a step by step suggestions for practice are what I return to again and again. Ho'oponopono is well worth putting into practice in your life.

  • Another huge step in humanity's awakening!
I know that many people had complaints about this book and Joe Vitale. I think that the saying, "You will find what you're looking for" really applies here. If you want to find a great life-changing tool - it's here. If you want to find every little incident that will reinforce your belief that Vitale is just out to sell you something - you'll find it.

I thought this book was WONDERFUL! I have read it completely three times and each time I find a little bit of information I overlooked the time before.

Yes, we all know that Joe Vitale is a successful businessman and he absolutely does give web addresses for items he or others are selling that he thinks the reader may be interested in, but he really seems to sincerely care for humanity and this book shows that side of him.

Some have commented that Dr. Len has articles online and because the stories he told in those articles is exactly what was published in this book, they feel that Joe Vitale just copied those stories in his book. I would like to call those people ignorant! I have personally listened to the seminars that Dr. Len did with Vitale and I heard him tell the same stories in each of those instances also. Dr. Len says upfront in one of those seminar recordings that he will tell the same stories again and again, until everyone "gets it". It makes perfect sense, if someone hasn't heard a story you have to tell and it drives home a point you're trying to make, would you neglect telling it just because you have told it before?

One person even accused Vitale of lying about being friends with Dr. Len - again, if you take a little time and search the internet, you can access some of the recordings of the seminars where Dr. Len has talked about everything published in this book and he even refers to Joe as his friend. Also, Dr. Len actually recorded his parts for the audiobook version of Zero Limits.

There is plenty of good information about Ho'oponopono online that is free. Saying "I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, Thank you", as your ongoing self-talk will help everyone's life enormously. You don't need to buy this book, but it certainly will help you to understand WHY those phrases will improve your life and how to take responsibility for your life completely. It will also be a book that will calm you as it is read.

Even though every detail of the Ho'oponopono process isn't revealed, little nuggets of information are revealed as different experiences are given.

No, this book doesn't give you every single detail about Ho'oponopono. It costs less than $17 - if you want to learn EVERYTHING about this wonderful method then you should be prepared to pay several hundred dollars and go to a seminar. If you don't have the time or money for that, this book is a great introduction to Ho'oponopono and applying what you learn here can really help you to improve your life with no further information other than what is in this book.

Ask yourself, are you really interested in taking 100% responsibility for your life and ready to start making positive changes in you that will actually affect everyone around you? If your answer is "yes" then you will love this book! If you're not, you can go back to your comfortable life with all of your beliefs and continue as you were. We all have to make our own decisions.

I personally feel that the information in this book has changed my life more than any other book I've ever read. Thank you to Joe Vitale and Ihaleakala Hew Len!

I have received a message about the Zero Limits book being published in Czech republic (in Czech language) through friend of mine who already red the book and was absolutely amazed. I went on the internet and order it. When I started to read it I was so impressed immediately that I
could not stop reading until I was finished! I am familiar with several self - cleaning processes but the technique Ho`oponopono seems to me as the "right codes" from the Universe for everyone who is really ready to get 100% responsible for his life, the planet Earth and the Universe. I can only suggest the book to everybody. I am sure that each of you who are already reading these reviews are coming with in inside search for a Real Truth which you can find here.

  • ZERO Integrity
Joe Vitale jumps on the Huna bandwagon with this poorly executed example of "McHuna" which is really nothing more than a very thinly disguised advertisment for his next marketing venture. While being exhorted with the importance and fullness of the present moment, Joe informs us that his focus has changed to a more Zen-like eternal now instead of his usual list of powerhouse marketing genius goals as-yet-to-be-manifested. Meanwhile, we get to look at him standing blithely in front of his very expensive sportscar while being informed that he has a magical symbol invented by the co-author (freely shared in the book) to make him "clean, clean and clear", or something to that effect. Well, it never hurts to have an order of Scientology on the side to go with your McHuna, LOL.

It only took me 10 minutes to get the gist of this book without actually buying it (take that, Joe) and only 15 minutes to get the stink off of my hands....more info
  • This Is An Outstanding Read
Drs. Joe Vitale and Ihaleakala Hew, Ph.D Len have done a phenonominal job in sharing the Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace. As I devoured this book over a 3 day period, I felt the cleansing power of the transcripts while repeating "I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me, I Love You and Thank You" to the Universe. This book is a "must read" for anyone looking to find a new meaningful cleansing direction in their life.

  • Quite a useful concept with 2 question marks
I enjoyed this book quite a bit and learned a lot. I also think there are other approaches that would produce similar results. No need to constantly say "I forgive you."

Just focus your attention on Divine Love or God and see God in everything and everyone.

My "question mark" is why is Dr. Hew Len advocates the eating of hamburgers as being healthy or a kind thing to do? It seems he has absolutely no awareness of the tortuous lives these animals have to go through to become his enjoyable hamburger.

I suspect if all of Americans fully understood what happens to animals that they end up eating, that at least 50% of them would become instant vegetarians.

Factory farmed animals are treated as bad if not worse than Hitler treated the people in his concentration camps. I just can't believe with all of the people he's contacted that Dr. Len hasn't learned this and all of the hormones, antibiotics and non foods these animals are fed.

Then he makes the ridiculous assertion that he can eat anything he wants and it won't negatively harm him and that everyone else can do the same. All they have to do is do the clearing process with the food they're about to eat and they'll be 100% safe.

Unfortunately that's pure nonsense. I tried it out and it didn't work. Trust me I wouldn't limit myself to raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds if I had no physical consequences to eating cooked foods. But there are grave consequences to health and Dr. Hew and certainly Dr. Vitale are victims of the foods they eat.

What he's basically saying is that he could bless cyanide and then consume it without being killed. Because most of the foods people in the Western World eat are poisons. Slow poisons maybe, but they are poisons and certainly not natural foods or natural to the human diet.

Plus I can tell by looking at pictures of Dr. Hew that he's suffering the side effects of his poor eating and he's not even aware of it.

I know these things because I'm a Radiant Health Coach and I know the results that eating a certain kind of diet produces in people, from a visual perspective. I've seen hundreds of people before going raw and after.

They look completely different after being on a raw food only diet for a long enough time. There are telltale physical signs of people who eat cooked food.

I've read so many spiritually focused books where the author claims that what they eat has nothing to do with their health and yet I can just look at their pictures and see all of the damage done to their bodies by their diet.

So although this book has many valid points, it's not coming from someone who is right in every instance. What I'm trying to say is not to take this as a religion or Dr. Hew Len as some sort of a Messiah.

If you do that you can gain much from the book. And I don't think you need to go to a special Ho'oponopono training to use the principles discussed in this book as other reviewers have suggested.

There are multiple techniques that are revealed in the book and they do work. I'm sure the training would be enlightening, but anyone with just a little spiritual background can see the value in the concepts and ideas given in the book.

You can read the book itself and never go to one of the trainings and you could experience miraculous changes in your own life.

  • Shakespeare of Spiritual Marketing !!!!
Joe Vitale pulls a new rabbit out of his hat!

Never ceasing to amaze, Dr. Joe Vitale releases what is, in my humble opinion the MASTERPIECE of his career thus far.

I strongly believe Zero Limits should be included as a mandatory part of a High school curriculum. We would never have another Columbine.

In this book, Dr. Vitale tells the story of Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, and the amazing Hawaiian healing technique of Ho'oponopono. It is parallel to NOTHING.

Ho'oponopono teaches us to take 100% RESPONSIBILITY for each and every experience that we attract into our lives.

The premise is that human beings operate either from:

    A. Divine Inspiration- This is where we want to operate from. This is the Zero point(Before the creation of anything)

    B. Faulty Data or memories that are imbedded in our subconscious and replay in our lives as illness, bad relationships, poverty or anything that is less than what we deserve and are worthy of by Divine right.

Now, if this is not the ULTIMATE solution to every problem then I don't know what is.

What is even more amazing is that those who once saw Joe as a GUERILLA Marketing man( I prefer to call him The Shakespeare of Marketing), are now forced to understand that Spirituality and Markieting are indeed not mutually exclusive.

    This book is a triumph!

It is clear that Joe's soul premeates this work of love.

For the very first time, I felt as If he was not trying to sell me anything.

    This book sells itself.

A must have for everyone on the planet!

  • Sales pitch religion?
I have been reading this book, and while I like the idea of meeting problems with "I love you" in your heart, it feels wrong that most of the anicdotes in this book are about Mr. Vitale making money and being the "business Jesus." Not to mention all of the products he sells, and his conferences, are very expensive. I'm pretty sure Jesus was more interested in getting the word out than he was about profits and new money making ideas.

In my opinion, this book reads more like a sales pitch for something else and if you buy his DVDs (which are like $90 a disk) he will tell you what that wonderful thing is that will give you material wealth. If you want better information about Ho'oponopono it would be better to google it. ...more info

  • A Good Read and Informative
Zero Limits offers an inside view of the workings of Ho'oponopono as it is practiced by Dr. Hew Len. Joe Vitale seems to be the writer taking what he has learned from his association and experience with Dr. Hew Len. The book is clear, easy to read and understand. It is based on the experiences of Dr. Hew Len and Joe Vitale. I would prefer a little less of Mr. Vitale's ego involvement which slightly detracted from the purity of the practice of ho'oponopono. I'd say a good starting point for familiarizing oneself to this practice of the Hawaiian art of loving unconditionally....more info
  • One of many?
If you want to know ho'oponopono, find a healer in Hawaii. This book won't help you. Dr. Hew Len is a healer, but this book is nothing more than a marketing scam. How a healer heals is always a secret, Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian way to sort out misunderstandings. The old way was to bring all of the family and any other families together with a Kahuna (healer) to hold a type of council to hear all sides of the issue and to sort out and make amends, to 'heal' the issue, so to speak. The way Dr. Hew len was taught was to find the problem in himself, and to cleanse it with energy, to erase and find peace within his own being, and it would solve anothers problem. That being said, this isn't something anyone can do. It can't be taught in a day, or 3, it is a lifetime practice. The place of healing is not in the mind but in another place that just might be different for different people. I like the concept that healing is possible, but there is no one way! I also find it disturbing that after writing this book that Joe goes on to write many more books on 'ways' to heal, and offers seminars and coaching programs ad nauseum. Remember this man is a marketing genius and this is just more marketing....more info
  • Pulling Weeds in a Field
Internet Marketing Guru Joe Vitale's "Zero Limits" is a light, fluffy take on a rather deep philosophy and spiritual tradition. Other reviewers who complain that the book is an infomercial for other Joe Vitale products seem to be on the mark, but there doesn't seem to be much point to anything Vitale is selling from a spiritual sense. Repackaging and marketing the ancient Hawaiian teachings of Ho'oponopono as "The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace & More" makes even less sense than the 1980s marketing (not by Vitale of course)of Musashi Miyamoto's "The Book of 5 Rings" (about sword fighting strategy, and the Way of the Warrior), as a businessman's strategy primer. Both philosophical traditions have been taken out of context, and students who do not have a deep understanding of the underlying philosophies will misapply the shallow and superficial "teachings".

Certainly there are universal truths present in the "Self I-dentity through Ho'oponopono" methodology, and taking responsibility for your own reality is one of the practices of the self-actualized of many traditions. But I don't think that Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len (at least as seen through the lens of Joe Vitale), is ready to be my spiritual teacher - he's simply not far enough along the path. As humans, none of us are perfect, yet we tend to hold our teachers to higher standards. The back of the book claims Joe Vitale "has been called `the Buddha of the Internet' for his combination of spirituality and marketing acumen." If "Zero Limits" is a sample of his fundamental spiritual teachings - well, the Buddha and all his Bodhisattvas would not judge, so I will try not to either.

Dr. Hew Len, in talking about programs - memories "in the collective unconscious of humankind", said "One of the most insistent programs in the world is women's hatred of men. I keep cleaning and it is like pulling weeds in a giant field of weeds. Each weed is a leg of the program. There is a deep-seated hatred of men on the part of women. We must love it to let it go." I'm working really, really hard at not being judgmental, so I' won't comment on this quote.

  • A big disappointment
As I was reading this book, I was becoming ever more excited to get to the section where the reader is instructed in how to do the full ho-oponopono process. Sadly, that section never came. All throughout the book, Mr. Vitale informs the reader that in order to get the full benefit of the process, one must attend one of his expensive weekend workshops. Well, then, why bother writing the book?

I have been practicing the bare-bones version of ho'oponopono as outlined in "Zero Limits" -- and with wonderful results. So in that respect the book was worth spending the time to read and I'll give it a couple of stars. But I am miffed that it is essentially an expensive, hard-bound advertising brochure for his workshops, filled with long, boring story after long, boring story about other people having success with the process. I guess he meant for it to be inspirational, but it got old very fast and I admittedly skimmed over much of that part, hoping against hope that there was more meat later in the book. There wasn't.

He could have produced a much more satisfying product by including the full instructions, with the recommendation of attending a workshop in order to understand the full dimension of how to apply the knowledge.

I don't enjoy new-agey workshops, so I won't be attending this one. Personally, I get much more out of good, book-based instruction. As a result, I feel rather ripped-off by the incompleteness of this book. That one reviewer is right: just go to the website and you can learn everything the book has to say....more info
  • True Spiritual Enlightenment!
I recently purchased this as a gift for a friend, simply because this was the best gift I could give to her. If I could have but one book, this would be it. The teachings are eye-opening and were a revelation to me. When I heard about this book from Joe Vitale's e-newsletter, I pre-ordered it and anxiously counted the days to receive it. I was not disappointed. This simple message from Dr. Hew Len through Joe Vitale truly has wrought miracles in my life and in the lives of others I know who have read this book. This philosophy should be taught in every school. And just imagine if it were available in prisons! This book makes miracles commonplace. • Even my nonreading husband had to read this.
First, I love Joe Vitale's writing style: flowing, easy, casual, makes you really get to know him. So this, like all his books, is an easy read.

Second, it is full of inspiration and information. The technique itself was not allowed to be spelled out, but my husband and I have gotten plenty from doing only what little tidbits Joe was allowed (by Dr. Len) to reveal.

Though I am a bookworm, my husband has read maybe 3 books in the 14 years I have been with him. The fact that this was one of them says a lot about the book. We both have been through the whole workshop scene while in our 30s (which is where we met each other). Been there, done that. But we both signed up for Dr. Len's workshop mid way through the book.

Perhaps the most amazing testimonial is when Joe calls his intention techniques "kindergarten" compared to this one. Life really is about getting clear from all the programming and just letting in the Divine....more info
  • Ghastly!
    This book is absolutely dreadful!!

I'll bet most, if not all, of the reviewers who gave this book a one-star rating would give it "zero" stars if that were possible.

Joe shamelessly hawks one bogus product of his after another. It's almost comical after a while.

That's the only value I find in this book, the unintended comedy factor. For example, the way Dr. Hew Len sucks up to Joe is quite a hoot!
