The BODYMINDER is the ultimate physical fitness diary. With a focus on workouts, it can also be used to keep track of any and all other exercise.
Each "day" consists of two pages with an organized, easy-to-use layout for recording workout details...from equipment & settings, to reps & sets, to difficulty level, to heart rate, to muscle groups, and more. There is also space for listing the details of other (non-gym) exercise...from walking the dog, to playing a sport, to dancing up a storm! In addition, each day's meals can be recorded as well as any vitamins or supplements taken.
The 224-page book is spiral bound with a durable leatherette cover. There are 91 days' worth of daily records and thirteen Weekly Schedule forms to help you keep on track. Other sections include food counts on over 100 common foods, heart and blood pressure range charts, progress charts, personal game scores, fitness expenses, and more. In the back there is a vinyl pocket for holding photos, notes, cards, etc.

Awesome BodyMinder! I have searched for the right journal (for too long) that was made just for me. One that didn't have unnecessary info, useless pages or crazy spaces for inputs like "Five servings of Pasta/Bread?"... Finally I found the BodyMinder. Very Useful I had never used a workout journal before, but had thought about it frequently. I finally had some free time over the holiday break, and while shopping for everyone else, ordered this for myself. I have been using it now for 5 weeks, and am extremely pleased with it. I like to work in different exercises, and go back to old ones. This journal does a great job of keeping track of the weights used and reps preformed so if I go back to an old routine I can tell how it was performed, and the intensity it was performed at. It is easy to fill out, and all the info is easily accessable. I do not use it in as much detail as it was designed for, but it is designed to work for anyone in whatever way you would like. I would highly recomend this to anyone who visits a gym and workouts on a regular basis....more info
This journal is awesome-I highly recommend It has plenty of room for both workouts and food, I have only one complaint. There need to be more categories in the food section, just Calories-Fat-Protein-Carbs. How about sugar, fiber, or saturated fat?...more info
Life Changing This is the only journal/notebook anyone should ever need when wanting to make a physical change in their life. It has everything it needs and nothing it doesn't. I have lifted weights since junior high (and I am a straight, petite female) but have taken about a decade off to have 4 kids. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a place to PLAN my workouts in advance, and how easily and QUICKLY it is to jot down what I actually do during a workout. I get to see my progress week to week... and that is what keeps me going! This little journal is so easy, I can't wait to right down a higher rep or a heavier weight than the time before. could be better There's only space for 4 sets of any one given exercise. Not real useful on days when you do 6 or more sets. But at least the boxes allow different weights and reps on an exercise....more info

The Perfect Journal I have been looking for a fitness journal that meets my needs for quite a while now. I have even had to create my own b/c I couldn't find any. As soon as I found this journal I was so psyched! It is really easy to fill out with the type of exercises I do already listed so all I have to do is check each item off. Plus, the food section of 3 meals and 3 snacks is perfect for my clean eating diet.

Great Log for Novice or Advanced Fitness Person I've used a log for several years and I've recently switched to this one. I like it for several reasons. I've grown to like the simple black cover over the brightly colored covers of my other logs. This log has enough space to capture everything you could want from food, to goals, to cardio, to strength training. It doesn't have a separate space for mind/body like Pilates or Yoga but there's enough extra lines that you can add it where you see fit. It's so professionally done. There's a calendar in the back, food information in the front. There's space for competitions but that could be used for anything, including races or meets or anything. Two sheets opposite each other for each day, each log contains space for 13 weeks (91 days).
If you enjoy keeping a log you will like this a lot, if you've never thought of keeping a log but think it might help (studies show it does) then try this one. The BEST Fitness Journal...IMHO I have tried a couple other fitness journals and this one is the best one so far. I am on my second BodyMinder! It has all the right fields and enough blank space to keep up with some of my own items to track. I turned my mom and my sister on to it as well. The food counts section in the front is comprehensive. The weekly plans and the space for tracking your measurements. BodyMinder Workout Journal This is a very good journal. Side by side pages lets you track food intake as well as exercise. On limit is that there is only space for 4 sets of exercises. This can easily be overcome. Lots of room for tracking 6 meals. Also has a section to record gym membership information. This came in handy when I misplaced mine. The gym called to tell they had found it. There is a section for setting goals and a section for accomplishments. I think this is the best on the market and have bought several....more info
it makes all the difference in the world Tracking what you eat and and how you workout is crucial if you are trying to reach goals. I am trying to lose weight and get in much better shape. With this journal I can track every rep done, its intensity, and how much weight was used. I can track how much cardio and what machine was used as well as take notes. I love the notes part because I can comment on my workout and what caused it to be successful or not so successful that day. You can also list what time you worked out, the date, and who your workout partner was.
On the diet part I like that I can list what I had for every meal, and has a separate column for supplements. You ca also leave notes for yourself. I like to explain my diet for particular days, especially if it was poor and write down why.
I really recommend this product if you are trying to record your experience working out and your diet....more info
Gauge the future with the past This is the first book I've used to help monitor my cardio and weight training workouts. It is incredibly helpful to look back on all aspects of the exercises (type, resistance, reps, sets, etc.) to determine where one should continue to focus. Great way to keep track fitness goals! I have been using my bodyminder journal for a few weeks now and find it a great help in tracking my diet and exercise. The *BEST* Workout Log! I have used several different workout logs, but this is by far the most complete. Many logs do not contain enough space for a variety of cardio, nor do they have enough rows/columns to fully record a serious workout regime. This log does! Spaces are available to record vitamins & supplements, daily nutrition, hydration, etc. It is a very good buy for the money - in fact, I feel it is worth every penny spent on it....more info

Packs a lot of punch in a relatively small size Click "look inside" and "surprise me" to get a good idea of what's in this journal. If you're serious As a personal trainer and a serious health enthusiast, it's important to track progress. It's also important to have a record of both your progress and what you've done that works (and doesn't) for future reference. This is a GREAT way to keep it together. Fitness Journal This is the best fitness journal I've used. It's convenient and thorough, and most importantly portable. I keep this journal with me most of the time. I can quickly write my meals down while sitting at work, and I can take it in the gym to record my workouts. The spiral binding makes it easier to carry than some of the other journals I've used. I just wish it had a space for planning workouts....more info
Great workout and food diary Have used many and generally use an online training log for my running but who the heck wants to type every weight/set in for weight training? And, I often do WW so this way, I can keep a general idea of my food and track the points later.

Love it! I just received this today. I do believe it's my new favorite thing! I've meticulously recorded every step of my weight loss journey with spreadsheets and software. I'm so thrilled that I now have this. There's TONS of space for recording EVERYTHING! My handwriting's quite large, so I was a little concerned about space. No problem here. Also, there's so much room for recording food that a separate food log seems unnecessary. I'm tempted to order another one right now!...more info
Exactly what i wanted I have, apparently, the older edition of this book. It is an awesome way to track both workouts and diet. Very good for BFLers and all fitness enthusiasts. I really like how it breaks down reps and sets. Really like the notes section, reminders, water check offs etc. It is also a great size for my purse and my gym bag. I really like the plain, black cover. I get annoyed carrying around journals that SCREAM what they are for (the BLF journals are the worst for that!)- but that's just me.
Best so far i am very pleased with this journal. It's not full of fluff and quotes that mean nothing to me. If you are serious at the gym and want to track food/workouts, go for it. ...more info

One of the best exercise logs around I've used another more expensive log book and this is by far one of the best. It is very comprehensive!
I cannot think of any negatives because it has everything you need to be successful! It includes a Cardio Workout section with a checklist and a place to record minutes, pace, heart rate and calories burned. There is a section to write down you strength training information - weight, reps, and number of sets, a place to log "other exercise", and most importantly, a place to log your food and supplement intake.
You are not locked into a date per page - as you exercise, you write in the date. This way you don't waste any pages. ...more info
Perfect workout Companion! I ordered this book because I was growing tired of trying to remember each time I went to the gym, exactly what I had done on my last visit. I also had a myriad of paper scraps around the house serving as some sort of "temporary food log". I had been using a free, online tracker called "Nutridiary", which I really liked...the only problem was trying to find the time and log on, and then remember all my day's activities as well as what I'd eaten. I find it so much easier and more convenient to just tote my Bodyminder journal around with me...especially to the gym. I love being able to track my progress with regard to increased endurance, weight and reps. It so easy to look back a couple of weeks and see how far I've come! I had considered ordering both this book and the BodyMinder food journal as well...I'm glad I didn't. This one book does it all for me, in a convenient, easy to carry size with a format I have come to love. Nice Excellent product includes a section for Diet, weight, supplements and workout. I took mine to the gym for the first week and ended up loosing it. Its better kept at home and great for tracking progress and planning workouts and keeping track of supplements. Be sure to buy a tape measurer to keep track of changes. Also the diet portion is very small but still affective. Also has a place to write down how you are feeling and who your working out with. Even has a part to write down your emotions, I call it the Dr. Phil section....more info
