  • Best AC on the market FOR THE MONEY!
This Panasonic AC is the quietest AC I have ever owned! A FAN IS LOUDER! Thermostat is a digital readout so "you can set it and forget it!" Best value in any AC I have seen. ...more info
  • Very quiet
I've got this item from Amazon last Saturday. Weather didn't let me check the cooling efficiency of this unit, but i plugged it in anyway, ran for some time, and found out this unit is very quiet. I have another AC similar capacity (LG 5050 BTU), Panasonic runs obviously quieter. In "cool" mode on the highest fan speed it's atill runs quieter than my window double fan....more info
  • Works well, quieter than most
The previous reviewer "" is apparently not knowledgeable about the new generation of ACs. Ever since the gov't banned the use of Freon, all the new ACs (home, car, etc.) have lower cooling capability than the older Freon ACs. It has something to do with the cooling agent the new ones use. Some manufacturers are better at making ACs than others. I have several Panasonic ACs and they all perform great. This 5,200BTU unit works very well in my small kitchen, but I definitely would recommend a bigger one for a living room (10,000BTU) or a typical bedroom (8,000BTU).

Like other Panasonic ACs, this model is quiet and energy-efficient. Given teh fact that we can no longer use Freon ACs and get cooling in 5 seconds, this is one of the better ACs I've seen....more info
  • weak, noisy
I give it 1 star because it is the least that I can give. Yes,it is only 5200 BTU, but it should not be so weak. My small room is smaller than 150 sq-feet, however it takes this powerless tiny machine 2 hours to cool my room to 78 F. Ironically, it sounds like a car from 80s'. Maybe Panasonic does good in other type of ACs, but not this one. Save your time & money on it....more info
