Customer Reviews:

  • Awesome and even healthy product - but don't buy at expensive Amazon
These are the only milks our children will drink - we mix Horizon regular milk with them to dilute to reduce our kids' sugar intake - but these are awesome tasting, great for travel and have super long shelf lives.

Don't buy here though - you can buy for $12-13 at other retail outlets. We get ours at BJ's wholesale club. They only sell the vanilla though-Whole Foods sells the Strawberry by the case (either 12 or 18-packs)....more info
  • Beware of carrageenan ingredient
My 2 year old loves this milk, drinking at least 1 per day for the past 2-3 weeks. He began having digestive issues and complaining of belly aches, so I googled the ingredient listed as carrageenan. It's a "natural" thickening agent used in soy milk and other organic products that causes many people to experience the same symptoms my son has experienced. In fact, many people who drink certain brands of soy milk containing carrageenan mistakenly attribute their digestive problems to the soy, when it's actually the carrageenan.

Carrageenan is about as wholesome as monosodium
glutamate (MSG), which is extracted from rice, and can
equally be considered natural. Aspartame (NutraPoison)
is also natural, as it is extracted from decayed plant
matter that has been underground for millions of years
(oil). So too are many other substances such as
carrageenan that can also be classified by FDA and
USDA as wholesome and natural food additives.

Just because something comes from a natural source
does not mean that it is safe.

Organic? What a joke. Horizon and the conglomerate that owns this factory farm should be ashamed of themselves.

  • Great stuff, although kinda sweet
It's organic and milk - what's not to like? My 4-yr old switched from liking the chocolate product to the vanilla one, which I thought was good. However, I grabbed a sip the other day and found the vanilla version quite sweet. Since then, I'm now trying to use this after meals as a dessert option instead....more info

  • Wife loves it, my daughter didn't...
I asked my wife to rank it..She gives it a 4 star. The white milk & chocolate milk both from this product manufacturer were well received by all in our family..

The vanilla is good..My daughter thinks it is too sweet...But my wife is very pleased.

  • Delicious! My kids love them!
These vanilla milks are so yummy, and they are much less sugary than the popular brands (without all of the added chemicals.) They are really portable too, since you do not have to refrigerate until ready to drink. My kids drink these up quickly and ask for more. A good way to keep up their dairy intake!...more info
  • Horizonm Organic Vanilla Milk
This milk arrived quickly and as described. It is a little sweeter than your typical vanilla milk, but if you like sweet it is very good....more info
  • Horizon Milk RULES!
I buy these little Horizon milks for my kids, though I drink them too. I get them on the subscription plan (which you really should do, it saves money, and it keeps a steady stream of milk coming for your kids). Try every flavor, they are all great: Horizon Organic Reduced Fat Milk, 8-Ounce Packages (Pack of 18), Horizon Organic Reduced Fat Milk, Chocolate, 8-Ounce Cartons (Pack of 18) (the best chocolate milk, ever, not gross and thick like grocery store chocolate milk), and Horizon Organic Reduced Fat Milk, 8-Ounce Packages (Pack of 18). And also let me add a shameless plug for the beta version of the subscription program: I LOVE IT!...more info
  • Customer Service makes it worth the choice!
My son loves this Vanilla milk. We find supplies at our local grocier unpredictable. Amazon.com delivers when we request AND the one time a carton was punctured during shipment, Amazon.com promptly sent out a replacement case at no cost to me....more info
  • Daughter loves it!
My daughter will not drink white milk at preschool, so I send this for her for her lunch. She likes it and it is very convenient. Kept it in the diaper bag when she was little. Great for on the go and travel. Amazon is PRICEY though. I can get this at BJ Wholesale Club for around $13 for 18 pk year round....more info
  • Mom of 2
Great Milk!!! You can get the case at Sams Club for $12.99 (I have only found the Chocolate there). One of my kids loves the Choc. the other Vanilla. ...more info
  • Good as long as it's "good"
My daughter loves to get these at Starbucks whenever we go to get me an overpriced coffee. I feel good about giving them to her because it's Organic, however, there have been more that a few times that she has gotten a rancid one that had not even yet past the expiration date! I know these don't have to be refrigerated... but maybe they should be? Anyway, these are great, but give em a sniff test before handing them over to your child....more info
  • Pricey
My daughter loves this stuff but we pay $14.99 per 18-pack at the local grocery store. $22 is a little pricey....more info
  • Kid's Love it

  • This stuff is awesome
I bought this mainly for my 2 year old son, but my husband loved it the most. My son calls it "baby coffee" and drank it every night before bed. But every night when I went to get him one, 2 more were gone because his Dad was outdrinking him 2:1. Anyway, a great drink for adults and kids....more info

  • Great way to get kiddos to drink milk...
My 21 month old son doesn't really like to drink milk, but would always slurp these down when I got them for him at Starbucks. He only seemed to like the vanilla flavor though. I live in a fairly rural part of the country, and the only store that carried these only carries the 3 packs, and doesn't carry the vanilla flavor. So I went online! I picked these up when Amazon was running the Horizon/Silk milk box promotions, and got a HUGE deal on them, I am very satisfied. I stocked up for now, but when the next promotion rolls around I will be ordering more!...more info
  • delicious milk
Great vanilla flavor. I love it and my grandaughters do, too. It makes a change for them from chocolate milk. The cartons don't have to be refrigerated till you're ready to drink them....more info
  • Good Product, Terrible Price!
My five year old loves this milk and the fact that it is shelf stable means that I can pack it in his school snacks and not worry about it spoiling...very handy.

BUT, Amazon's price is HORRIBLE. What a way to take advantage of people who might live in remote areas without a retail outlet. I buy this at BJ's for $12.79 for a case of 18 and can even get it at Whole Foods (you know, of the "Whole Paycheck" joke) for $14.99.

They do have the strawberry milk here, which I've never seen at a retail store, but, fortunately, my son doesn't like it. I did buy it on "sale" for closer to the usual retail price. ...more info
  • good organic milk
