Product Description

Features: Powerful 9.6-volt rechargeable battery. Foot-activated on/off switch for maximum ease of use. 60% more powerful than the original Dirt Devil broom vacuum. Lightweight cordless and bagless vacuum for cleaning hard-surface floors. Includes snap-off clear dirt canister, 10" cleaning nozzle, replaceable filter, and power adaptor. Replaces broom, dustpan, and vacuum. Measures 21" x 13" x 1-1/2". Quick no-tool assembly. Weighs 3-1/2 pounds. 1-year warranty.

An inexpensive alternative to brooms, dustpans, and bending over to get at the last of the dirt pile, the cordless, bagless, yet surprisingly effective Dirt Devil Broom Vacuum is well suited to heavy-duty sweeping and vacuuming on hard-surface floors of all types. Where it really shines, though, is for quick touch-ups--the dog-hair tumbleweeds and stray Cheerios of everyday life. 60% more powerful than the Broom Vacuum's last incarnation, its 9.6 volt motor has plenty of juice for sucking up debris from tile, laminate, hardwoods, and linoleum. Users with bad backs will appreciate the foot-activated on/off switch, and at just 3-1/2 pounds, without cumbersome power cords to trip over, the unit maneuvers with admirable ease. It's easy to see when the transparent dirt cup is full, and the canister snaps off easily for emptying. Brushed-edge cleaning extends the unit's reach, and the 10-inch-wide nozzle feels more like a broom than a skinny stick vacuum. To recharge, simply plug into the included adaptor when storing. The Dirt Devil Broom Vacuum is not intended for wet spills or carpeted surfaces, but for dry messes, crumbs, and dust, it's a solid value and so easy to use that you just might find yourself sweeping the kitchen floor more often. The unit measures a compact 21 by 13 by 1-1/2 inches and is covered by a one-year warranty. < I>--Mary Park

Customer Reviews:
  • Unsupported garbage
Don't waste your money on anything from Dirt Devil, Royal, or Hoover. After less than two years, the rubber gasket that seals the dirt cup with the motor housing has disintegrated; making this unit worthless (no suction).

According to the Dirt Devil company... this part is unavailable at any price; even though this is a current model!!!

Not to mention it did not work all that well even when new....more info
  • Wonderful
I have two children, 23 months and 10 months, and this product is wonderful! I try to maximize my time with them as much as possible, and this product does this for me. Its fast and easy. As long as I keep the filter clean there's no problem. I am getting this for everyone on my Christmas list!!!...more info
  • I love this broom!!!
I love this broom. I was looking for something to pick up all the dog hair from our 2 dogs. I hated lugging out my big loud vacuum cleaner. The Dirt Devil Broom Vac lets me clean up quickly on a daily basis. Easy to clean too!...more info
  • Dirt Devil Rechargeable Broom
It does just what the description says it will do and very well. I would recommend this....more info
  • sort of works, but it's easier to just sweep
This rechargeable broom vacuum works okay. It is somewhat heavy and awkward to maneuver. Also, the area where it actually vacuums is a small square in the middle of the broom, so you have to have the hole over your dirt/debris in order for it to actually vacuum. It just seemed easier to use a regular broom and dust pan. I was disappointed and ended up giving it to Goodwill.

  • Did not pick up well
My wife wanted one of these because she wanted to be able to grab something quick and light to pick up dirt. It does not pick up that well is the only problem. We tend to use our swifter vac instead, which was half the cost....more info
  • it's just OK
Heavy for something so small. The broom has to be angled just right to vacuum up the dirt. You can't vacuum under tables and chairs....more info
  • Very efficient
I love it, I used to leave corners dirty and with this item I can really clean my house. I don't lift dust anymore. It has good suction. Perfect!!...more info
  • Battery life too short
This product is only for you to sweep as a broom, and vaccum at the end. If you use the vaccum function when you sweep, the battery is used up after using only twice in our house......more info
  • Broom Vac
Best 50 dollars I ever spent. I have 3 dogs and any product that helps me in between BIG VACUUMING is great!...more info
  • Better than a regular broom
I like the product although I wasn't "blown away" with it's productivity. Cordless feature is nice and the battery lasts a long time. When sweeping pet hair I have to clear the filter often otherwise the motor seems to sufficate. I have used other types of stick vacuums and actually prefer them to this product. My opinion is if you're going to spend $50 on something like this - buy an electric stick broom. But all-in-all using the Dirt Devil Broom vac is much better than the traditional broom and dust pan....more info
  • Broom Vacuum
It's cool it does a fairly good job at picking up the sand and dog hair Larger stuff like pebbles or pellets from the stove are another story. it hurts if you hit your toes but for the most part it was worth it.....more info
  • Fantastic!
I have a yellow lab that sheds like crazy. I've tried just about every type of product out there (i.e. Swiffer, Roomba, stick vacs...) This broom is fantastic. It has more power than my Oreck stick vac and the charge lasts a good deal of time. I can just hover the broom in hard to reach places over a "clump" of fur and it will pick it up. You can sweep up against walls and such to get at everything along any edge. I had an old broom vac which was ok, but this one is much improved. I would definitely recommend it!...more info
  • Back Saver
This is a wonderful product so far. Works great and really saves the back! The durability test comes next, and if that goes well, I will very satisified!
