Features Increases body flexibility to improve athletic performance Helps relieve lower back aches due to sitting or standing
Whether you want to reduce back stress or fatigue or stimulate your blood circulation, the Ironman Gravity 1000 inversion table makes a great household accessory. The inversion table contributes to your body's overall health by optimizing lumbar traction, thereby relieving pressure on your vertebrae discs and ligaments. And when your back starts to relax, the rest of your body follows. The table can also help with such areas as increasing body flexibility for improved athletic performance, reducing the effects of aging due to gravity, and relieving lower backaches due to sitting or standing.
The Gravity 1000 boasts a durable tubular steel frame with a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish. The backrest, meanwhile, is made of a tough nylon material that's extremely durable yet still comfortable when the table is in use. Most importantly, the inversion system is a breeze to use: once you rest your body against the nylon backrest and slip your feet into the ergonomically molded ankle cushions, simply reach your arms over your head. As your arms go up, your body gradually inverts up to 90 degrees. The only inputs are your energy and gravity itself.
Users will also appreciate the tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers, which keep the table stable while you invert, and the extra-long safety handles, which provide an easy return to an upright position. Other details include a height-adjustable frame up to 6 feet 6 inches; support for up to 300 pounds; vinyl safety side covers to protect hands and fingers; and a durable spring-loaded ankle locking system. The Gravity 1000, which folds into a compact footprint for easy storage, measures 25 by 62 by 49 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 46 pounds.

FYI Not a bad product. I do like using it, but don't use it nearly as much as when I first bought it a few months ago. A possible hinderance I would throw out for you to consider is that there is no locking mechanism for when you are completely inverted. It might not seem like a big deal, which is what i thought when i bought it, but it makes it awefully hard to relax while upside down when you're having to use you're arms in a variety of ways to remain completely inverted. That kinda bothered me, cuz I don't think I ever got the full effect from inversion therapy. It definately helps with circulation problems though. I use to get headaches if I worked down low, stooping or bending over frequently. This helped get rid of that. I also realized I have a not so great hip that I had no clue about before because hanging upside down caused a good deal of pain. Lastly, the ankle holders are fine. I would hang in it barefoot and I'm 6'2", 245lbs. (or at least I was, now I'm 221)....more info
Good for the back, but... The price is great, putting it together wasn't too hard for a logical-minded 68 year old woman. I used other's advice and set the height about 3 inches taller than I am. I set the controller strap so it wouldn't go down quite all the way, and I put on walking shoes and socks to protect my feet and ankles. It worked great and if I use it regularly, I think it will help my back. However, I also have bursitis in one hip and the weight on that didn't feel good. I don't think it did any harm, though. My husband has been using it more regularly and feels that it is easing pain in his back, but I don't see it helping the stiffness. All in all, a very positive experience. Be sure to wear shoes and socks and adjust the rotation of the ankle holders to fit....more info
inversion table After trying a chiropractor and a general Practitioner I am finally getting back relief with this inversion table. It is a discount price but a well built product. I am very satisfied....more info
Thumbs up, great product! I thought that the inversion table was great, as advertised. My daughter and I put it together in no time. She is eleven so it is not that hard to do. Lots of parts, that's why it doesn't get 5 stars. I recomend this product for anyone who has back problems. Once I got on the table and inverted it, the back pain went away. It is too bad that you can't hang upside down forever.
The other thing I found is that you don't want to invert completely. This causes undo stress on your knee and ankle joints. This probably would not happen is I was skinny and in shape. Then if that was the case, I probably would not have back problems.
Great product, highly recomended....more info
Great value! Very high quality for the cost. Truly helped my back issues iin a few days....more info
Too good of a deal! This was way to cheap for the quality. It works well and was made well. It can be a little hard on the ankles at times but I really can't complain, except that I'm embarased by how little I paid for it. ...more info
Good-quality and fast service Very happy with my Ironman inversion table, assembly instructions where easy to understand. It took about 30 to 45 minutes to assemble. It was a great value for the money, very well built, and I did receive within a week, less than the specified time. The only problem were with the clamps for your feet. They were a little uncomfortable. So I bought a pair of gravity boots, and they work very well with the Ironman inversion table....more info
Inversion Table Great product for the money. I've never owned one, but purchased this one to possibly relieve back pain. I had no problem putting it together and it is very sturdy. The only reason this didn't get a 5 star, is the comfort on the feet. A little more padding and support around the feet would help. But, I'm not upside down for very long, so it isn't a huge deal. I would recommend this to anyone!...more info
Great piece of equipment This product is really a well made Inversion Table. I love it. It takes a little getting use to being upside down....more info
Feeling SO much better! In May 2002, I had surgery to remove what my surgeon later told me were, "three big pieces of L5" from my back. I've been in pain since then, but I've managed to keep it tolerable via various meds. This table has allowed me to cut down on my anti-inflammatory drug by 50% after the first 5 days or so. I hang upside down for about 4-5 mins. in the morning and after work, and it has done SO much for me. For some reason, you don't feel like the blood is rushing to your head and feel sickly. I don't understanding it, but really, I feel great! I ride horses and haven't been able to do so comfortably in years and have had to mostly keep at a walk. I rode yesterday for over an hour, at a nice pace, and today I felt great. This table is giving me back hope of movement and activity again! Worth every penny. ...more info
Worth every penny and more! I am a 44 year old male with scoliosis and my lower back had been causing me so much pain that I couldn't complete simple tasks in my daily life. Walking the dogs caused me tremendous pain. I went to a Chiropractor to inquire about decompression therapy. He told me that the treatment would take my pain level from a 7 to around a 2 or 3. I would have been willing to give it a try but the cost for the treatment was $4200.00 after my insurance paid their portion. I just couldn't afford that at the time and decided to give this a try. I read every review about this machine and several others and decided that this was the one I'd go with. I have used it for a few weeks and I have already experienced a great deal of relief. I use the table at different levels of incline to target different areas of my back and it seems to be working. I do crunches while I'm inclined to strengthen my back muscles which may also be helping. I still have some pain and soreness but nothing like I was experiencing before I started using the table. It's not often that you buy a product that exceeds your expectations; this one did. ...more info
good for the money Nice value for your money. Well constructed, only criticism is ankle holders could be more comforting. ...more info
Great product for the money I have chronic back pain problem but after buying and using this product, I am feeling a lot better. If you use the installation guide and your common sense, this product is very easy to assemble.
Helps the back My husband was hit by a car when he was very young and has had back problems since. He hangs every day now and he says it helps. I have sciatica and it helps me also. We never invert fully as it is not necessary. We definitely would recommend this unit to anyone. It is not as easy to store as the ads say and it is big and takes a lot of room, but probably not anymore than any other, it's just the way it's made to do the job it was meant for....more info
LOVE MY INVERSION TABLE THIS PRODUCT SEEMS VERY STURDY AND WELL BUILT. IT WAS FAIRLY EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT (ON SALE FOR $134). I LOVE COMING HOME AT THE END OF A LONG DAY AND HANGING UP SIDE DOWN ON THIS TABLE. IT FEELS AWESOME!!! INSTANT RELAXATION....more info
I am happy I brought it I purchased The Ironman inversion table and it is everything I wanted. It was not hard to put together and it is comfortable to use. It is well worth the price....more info
medical alert I ordered this unit for my Father- in -Law for Christmas (2008).I thought it would be perfect based on the reviews I'd read and because of the fact that he'd used "Gravity Boots" in the past. It arrived well ahead of schedule and we were able to present it to my FIL on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, when he opened it he sadly informed us that because of his high blood pressure his doctor advised him not to do anything that would cause him to be in an upside down position. I gave this four stars anyway because, although we never actually used this item we were able to return it hassle free and also because, I think this would be a good device for people without the blood pressure issue.I only wish I'd known about this possible problem before I ordered it. I've since investigated this issue on WebMD and other sights and they concur....more info

Ironman Inversion Table 1000 My husband and I enjoy the Ironman Inversion table very much. We have discovered how to avoid the pain people get in their ankles when the table is inverted. If you securely fasten down the ankle straps has tight as you can withstand, then just relax totally, and you will discover the pain does go away. Your ankles will relax to the point where your feet feel like they are straightening out. Believe me, you will stay secure to the table.
The Ironman Inversion table was worth the money. I use it to stretch my spine, to allow the disc to slid back into place. My husband uses it to simple stretch and totally relax his body. Great Machine...........more info

ironman inversion table built solid and easy to assembly. i would have rated it a 5 but, the only thing that could be improved is the ankle pad, which is a little uncomforable. other wise a great product for the price. amazon made it a great deal by offering free shipping....more info
Ironman Inversion Table is great! I have a spondylolisthesis problem that has forced me to get decompression treatment in a nearby town. It's been helping, but the drive time and expenses are getting to be a burden, so I decided to try an inversion table. After studying all the tables that Amazon offers, I felt that the Ironman Gravity 1000 was the best value for the money I was willing to spend. I am happy to say that I made a good choice! The Ironman was pretty easy to assemble (tools included) and is a very well-built piece of equipment. The operation is smooth and quiet, and I have full confidence in its safety.
My only complaint (maybe not 100% justified) is that it is a bit complicated to change one of the settings, although I must admit that this probably adds to the overall strength of the machine.
Amazon's fulfillment of my order was perfect and a bit faster than I expected....more info

Sturdy, Quality, Comfortable and Affordable I have been researching these for some time now and I've finally bit the bullet and ordered mine. I am a male, 49 years old, 190lbs with a bulging disc between L4 & L5. I have endured constant pain for a few years, sometimes it goes away, but the little bit of stress on my lower back and it comes haunting me again. The Ironman 1000 was my choice. When I read about a man that weighed 290lbs and he felt safe...it was a no-brainer. I am just now beginning my regiment on this crazy machine, so I will return with an update in about 30 days.
As far as assembly, Ironman provides you with everything you need, even wrenches and phillips head driver. The tools are even quality and sturdy. They give you all the bolts in a vacuum-sealed package so you can clearly see all the pieces are there. The instructions are quite explanitory and even a complete dunce my me can put this thing together within a hour (my wife was pleased that from start to finish and even cleaning up the garbage I didn't take up her living room for more than 60 minutes).
Everything about this product speaks quality and affordability. I purchased mine via online at Wally World. They shipped it to me in FOUR days from NY to California. It even arrived on Christmas Eve (when I'm writing this) via FedEx. It cost me only $2.95 for shipping! Amazing!
Check back to get my review in 30 days. Also, I've heard that wearing hiking boots will help with the ankle-pressure problem.
Inversion at a great price I have chronic neck and lower back problems from my old (30 years ago) full contact martial arts and boxing days. Chiropractic care does some good but the inversion table is GREAT. Gravity and the convenience of being able to relevie the pressure on my spine several times a day has releived the pain, reduced the shooting pains down my leg and I sleep better. Sound like snake oil but reverfsing the compression caused by gravity WORKS. NOTE: The build quality of the Ironman 1000 is very good, the frame is solid and the long handles are well placed. While the fabric could be heavier it spports well. The only potential issue would be the ankle pads if you have small ankles- you may need to wear sneakers for comfort. Great value for the low price....more info
Best money I ever spent Great product here. Well built and fairly east to assemble.
After many years of lower back pain and countless visits
to chiropractors, I feel better than ever. I few minutes
every evening and I feel great, don't wake up with a back
ache anymore either. It has already paid for it's self in
only a few months due to no more copays....more info
No regrets! Awesome. Nice build quality and stable enough to support me and my big self at 290lbs. Ankle straps looked like they wouldn't work with my large legs but were no problem at all....more info
Functional... Fairly simple assembly and I was upside-down in a hurry... No complaints except it takes up a lot of room in my basement.. But the price was right and it holds my big fat 200+ pound self up quite nicely. I'm not really getting much relief from my pain issues but I think I'm just too far gone at this point with herniated discs in both neck and back for at least ten years. But it certainly isn't making things any worse and I can do crunches and sit-ups (kinda) from the inverted position without pain. So that's a good thing.....more info
Great Price, Very Sturdy!... This was a great purchase! I've been eyeing Inversion Tables for some time now, but was hesitant to spend $200+ on something I wasn't sure would work. After finding this table and reading all the positive reviews, I went for it...so glad I did!
As many have stated here already, the ankle restraints aren't the most comfortable, but I wear long pajama bottoms and make sure they cover my ankles before getting on this, it really helps out. Set-up was easy. I'm a 28 year old, small sized housewife, and I put it together by myself in about an hour. Using this two to three times a day for a few minutes each time has really helped my back over the last few weeks. If you interested in Inversion, this product is a great alternative to the super pricey Teeter brand!...more info
Great Inversion Table! I bought this product a few weeks ago but not from Amazon. I really think it's great product. I use it every morning and then again in the evening. I have felt an improvement on my back. ...more info
Great Inversion Table For this low price, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have been delightfully surprised! This is a great piece of equipment. My wife and I use it every day, usually several times a day. It was easy to assemble and it's easy to use. You can't go wrong with this purchase....more info
No more back pain This product has been great. I use it often and have since had no pain back to speak of. I find the product very useful and easy to use. ...more info
A little tricky to assemble, and a pleasure to use I have no problem with "some assembly required." This unit took a bit of effort, especially when it comes to attaching the center part to the stand - you have to have some real strength to get it in. And there is some trickiness to getting it set right, as well.
Once assembled and set right, it's a pleasure and easy to use. The problem I had was that my upper body is heavier than my lower body, so I had to set it for someone several inches taller than me. Now, everything is great, it works beautifully, and I use it almost every day....more info
Well built system, great value! I would recommend this product. The only weakness is the ankle holders which can make you a little sore....more info
Works as described.... We've had the inversion table for around 2 weeks now, and it has defiantly paid for itself. My husband has had back problems for years, this has helped more than anything else. He no longer wakes up with a sore back in the mornings and the stiffness is gone. He was having aches and pains right before he used it and now they are gone. He's glad that we no longer have to buy muscle creme!
Overall its an excellent product, assembly was pretty easy with both of us working on it. Also the shipping was fast (as always) from Amazon. No complaints from us! Highly recommended for anyone with back problems! ...more info
Awesome product I bought this product based on the recommendation of the reviews posted on Amazon. My product arrived today. I am very pleased. Although this is the less expensive unit it is all that I want and more. I do not see why I would want to spend more money when this product is more than adequate.
The materials and quality are top-notch. I found assembly to be a snap and I'm not usually a mechanical type person.
I was recently diagnosed with multiple bugling discs and S1 nerve compression. I am currently in physical therapy without much relief. I have not yet experienced the benefits of this device as I just received it today. My back is so tight that I did not experience much movement while hanging upside down for 5 minutes.
I plan on using it daily 2-3 times per day. I will post in the near future any progress I have.
I did not experience the foot discomfort as some have mentioned. I wore shoes and my feet stayed comfortably secure. Good buy!! ...more info
Love it! Easy to Assemble. Very Sturdy.
Simple to learn how to use properly.
I've only had it a few days, but my mother has used one for 20 minutes a day for over a year now.
It definitely gives her relief from back pain.
Just the short time I've used it so far, I can tell it takes the strain off my back - I am hoping for a lasting effect.
I shopped around and believe this is the best Inversion Table for the Price. ...more info
Inversion Eight things to note for the would-be buyer...
1) This product is a very good buy and does what an inversion table does - no need to spend three or four times as much. Good value for money - I paid $134.
2) Yes, the ankle grips can be uncomfortable, but with socks and trainers, it is tolerable.
3) Don't expect to hang upside down for too long. Only a few minutes is bearable. My head throbbed heavily the first time while inverted!
After, it takes several minutes to get rid of that queazy feeling (but then I can't take roller coasters, so you may be OK. I use it before bed, so I can "rest" after.
4) Don't eat or drink before using the inversion table (for obvious reasons)
5) Even if there is no back pain, I found it makes my back muscles ache the first time you use it, due to the stretching from your weight.
6) It seems to help back trouble to some extent, but it's not a miracle cure. The relief is not necessarily lasting; for me anyway.
7) It takes up quite alot of room (same footprint as my elliptical), so bear that in mind if you don't have much room.
8) If you've tried everything else for your back, then try this....more info
Great equipment at a great price For the price you pay and the quality you get you can't beat it. Only down side might be the ankle harness isn't the most comfy. I would recommend it to anyone. Great equipment and my back and body feel better every time I use it!!!...more info
Great product! Back feels immediately better after use. I've had this thing for about a week now, using it for 5-10 minutes in the morning and evening. Even though it doesn't "cure" my back pains, the pain does go away for awhile after use.
It took me a couple of days to relax enough to let my spine decompress properly, but once I did, I started really enjoying hanging upside-down. Wearing socks and shoes is highly recommended when using this device, the ankle "straps" aren't the most comfortable, but with a little more padding from socks and shoes, it was hardly noticeable.
It also takes up a lot of space and doesn't really "fold up" so you can slide it under a bed. But since I've been using it twice a day, there's no point in storing it.
Definitely worth the money if you have constant back pains....more info

How the difficult become easy meantime inexpensive Ironman Gravity 1000 Inversion Table is my best buy lately and most useful too. The quality and workmanship of this machine makes me wonder what more can the 10-20 times more expensive inversion table can offer. Because I am not too young as I want to be, my wife was very skeptic and kept pushing me to ask my doctor if I really use it. Finally I asked my doctor and he started listing the benefits until I started to lose track. From day 1 I am doing 10 minutes on the machine daily, never got dizzy or sick from it only feel great after the 10 minutes. For the price I paid I got a really good deal in times nothing more scarce than good deals. ...more info
Best Inverter Table for the Money Having purchase both the Teeter Hangup (one of the most popular inverters) and this Ironman, I will try to make a comparison.
I purchased the Teeter Hangup table for my personal use. Very satisfied except that the leg clamps at the bottom are not nearly as comfortable as the Ironman. I am 6'4" and weigh 220, so that may be an issue. My wife does not have any discomfort at all.
My daughter and husband really liked the benefits of inversion after using our Teeter (they find no discomfort either). But because of the leg clamp issue I researched other alternatives.
As a result we purchased this Ironman for them as a gift and it is a LOT more comfortable for me at the ankles and feet than the Teeter type leg clamps. The construction is equivalent in quality.
Other differences to consider:
Teeter allows the table to move further from your back when fully inverted. This allows more freedom to do more exercises without bumping the back.
Another thing you may want to consider is the ease of folding and moving to another place or for storage. The Teeter is easier, as the Ironman requires a wrench; the teeter did not.
The last difference to consider is the foot rest on the Teeter is easier to adjust, an issue if more than one person uses it and they are significantly different in height and/or weight. The Ironman requires a wrench, the Teeter does not. It is more an issue for the Teeter because the leg clamps are not as comfortable as the Ironman, as I stated earlier.
All in all, if I would have to do it again, I would buy the Ironman for myself. It was about $180 cheaper at the time. You could buy two Ironman Inverters for the price of a Teeter! The slight inconveniences of the Ironman over the Teeter would not warrant this price difference to me, because the leg clamps of the Ironman are significantly more comfortable.
As for the health benefits here, I do not think they are overstated. After a long day on my feet, or just exercising, it literally makes me feel like new. I feel "decompressed," and have more bounce in my joints. I feel more flexible. It allows me to recover from an activity faster.
My daughter, who trains for marathons, says that after a long training run, she feels so much better after inverting and does not have any back or joint issues like she did before. She just ran the Pittsburgh Marathon, and the first thing she did when she got home was to "hang." She claims immediate relief and faster recovery time.
So no matter which inverter you get, it is an easy way (5-10 min) to feel sooooo much better. I can't recommend this activity more highly. ...more info
nice piece of equipment - great for back health This is a great piece of equipment that has helped me keep my spine healthy and flexible. It is high-quality and I feel I can trust it when hanging upside down.
I use it every morning for about 5-6 minutes and it has reduced my back pain in a big way. If you are experiencing any kind of lower back pain, try this before getting surgery or anything more drastic. It has helped me and everybody I let use my inversion table....more info
